February 10 (Sunday worship at
Tuguegarao and Palca)
In our
bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Jerome preached “Shining as lights in
the world” and brother Rody started the series of his lesson on the book of
Romans.
In the
afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them “Genesis 6-11”. From the story of Noah
until the Tower of Babel. I am encouraged to share also the lessons on the book
of Genesis. We started in Tuguegarao the book where I am one of those assigned
to preach and because I am learning more about it, I wanted to share it also to
the brethren at Palca. After the worship, I went to visit the husband of sister
Rosita Telan who have bronchial asthma. He have been in and out of the hospital
for two months now. He is not a christian, and so I also shared about the words
of God to him before having a prayer.
February 13 (Midweek service at
Tuguegarao)
Brother
Jay continued with our study on the book of Genesis, and we are now on the 12th
chapter, the promises of God to Abram.
February 17 (Sunday worship at
Tuguegarao and Palca)
Every
time brother Rody is not with us here in Tuguegarao, I am the one teaching in
our bible study. I shared to the “Genesis 13” about the choices of Abram, Lot
and God. In the sermon brother Jerome preached “John 9” about the blind man.
In the
afternoon, in Palca, I preached to them Genesis 12-13. After the worship,
sister Fermina told me that our sister Gina Simangan was hospitalized last
February 14 because of high blood pressure. She got a mild stroke but now just
a little weakening of her left arm. I visited her in their house and talk to
them. Together with his husband, they haven’t attended our service for almost a
month already and so I encouraged them to go back to church. But they said,
they still cannot attend the next Sunday because of her therapy. Thankfully,
first Sunday of March, they already joined us in worship.
February 20 (Midweek service at
Tuguegarao)
Brother
Ron is with us. He just came from a long trip from Quirino where they have
bible lectures. He was misinformed of the next chapter we will study and so he
taught Genesis 12. But that’s ok, because there are many things he showed us
that we didn’t notice when we first study the chapter. It is also good to hear
from the inputs of other brethren. As a Christian, we should never stop
studying the word of God even though we have already read the whole book many
times.
February 23 (Visitation at Palca)
I
visited sister Valentina Mabborang in Palca. I often go to their house after
our worships but this time, I wanted to have more time talking to her and his
family. She is already 87 years old and very weak. She cannot remember names
and faces anymore and it takes time before she can get what you are saying. I
patiently talk to her and gives advices to her family on the words of God. Only
her and her two grandkids are members of the Lord’s church but both of them are
already working in Manila. I have fun talking to them. Hopefully her family
will also come to church.
February 24 (Sunday service at
Tuguegarao and Palca)
Brother
Rody talked to us and asking if he can do the bible study and sermon. We are
happy to hear him do both because we haven’t heard him preached long lessons
due to pains in his teeth and other illnesses. He divided his lesson about
Understanding what the Lord’s will on Marriage. We extended the invitation and
we are happy that four precious souls came in front to confess their faith.
After
the worship, brother Rody solemnized a wedding of our brethren who are from
Barucboc, Quezon.
After
the wedding, I didn’t join them in the baptism because I needed to go to Palca.
In
Palca, I preached to them “Words that Jesus never spoke of”. I gave them some
of the denominational teachings(words not Jesus never taught) and answered them with the words Jesus spoke of
in the bible.
February 26 (Visitation)
I
visited again the husband of Rosita Telan, but this time, it’s not in their
house but at the hospital in Piat. The problem is his asthma again. We prayed
together but only have limited time for visitation because the admin of the
hospital won’t allow long visitations.
February 28 (Midweek service at
Tuguegarao)
I am
again scheduled to share on the book of Genesis. I taught “Genesis 14” about
the first civil war we can read in the bible and the saving of Lot by his
Uncle, Abram.
February 29 (Visitation)
I
visited brother Leonardo Uton in the hospital here in Tuguegarao at De Leon
Hospital. He again have high blood pressure and back pains. If I am not
mistaken, he is already 74 years old. His wife is there, sister Linda, taking
care of him. She is 70 years old. They have 12 children, and most of them are
working in Manila and abroad. Only two of their daughters are with them in
Palca, but that time I visited them, they went home to get sime of their needs.
March 3 (Sunday worship at
Tuguegarao and Palca)
I am
again assigned to teach in our bible study. I shared to them Genesis 15 about
the renewal of God’s promises to Abram. Brother Jerome followed our lesson and
he preached on the sermon “God’s promises”.
In the
afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them Genesis 14-15. This is the first time we
have in worship brother Enzo and sister Gina Simangan since she got a mild
stroke. We are happy to see them and so we have a little chat after the
service. We are praying for her fast recovery.
March 4 (Visitation)
I
visited another brother from Palca who was confined in CVMC Tuguegarao. Brother
Oscar Caliuan or we call him Jun, who have diabetes needed blood transfusion
again. He felt dizzy when they brought him to the hospital and because of his
diabetes, complications arose.
March 6 (Midweek service at
Tuguegarao)
Brother
Jay shared to us Genesis 16 about Abram and Hagar.
