October 1 (Midweek Service)
For our first midweek service of the month, we were privileged to have one of our elders, brother Lino Darauay, with us here in Tuguegarao to deliver the lesson. He shared an insightful message on the topic of “Death,” which reminded the brethren of the importance of being spiritually prepared and faithful before the Lord.
October 3 (Bible Study)
We were invited to Pussian by brothers Joeben Jacobo and Fernando Duque. Our initial plan was to distribute Bible tracts, but due to the continuous rain, we proceeded instead to the nearby village of Agani to conduct a Bible study. I was asked to share the lesson and suggested preaching about true worship, as one of the attendees was a member of a Pentecostal church. I began the lesson by presenting the teaching about the true church before discussing the subject of worship. We are thankful to God that as a result, one soul, Lili Villare, decided to obey the gospel and was baptized in the baptistery at Pussian.
October 5 (Sunday Worship)
For our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, we were blessed to have Brother Jun Rimando once again teach. He shared a lesson from John 5:1–20, which gave encouragement and deeper understanding to the brethren. During the worship service, I was also given the opportunity to preach a lesson entitled “Anything,” based on Philippians 4:13, emphasizing that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
In Palca, I invited Brother Jay Gumpad to preach. He delivered an inspiring lesson entitled “What Can We Learn from the Wishes of Alexander the Great?” using several Bible passages to highlight valuable spiritual lessons drawn from the topic.
In Dagupan, I was also able to preach a lesson entitled “The Power of Prayer,” reminding the brethren of the importance of continual communication with God and the strength we receive through prayer.
October 7
We went to Villa Laida, Tuao to distribute Bible tracts. This is the same area we previously visited with the hope of establishing a new congregation. By God’s grace, the work has borne fruit—what began with one baptism has now grown into a regular Sunday worship with additional baptisms. The location is near Dagupan, where I also preach, but since I am already handling three congregations, I have entrusted the care of this new congregation to brother Jayson Tanguilan.
During our visit, we distributed tracts throughout the area and met some brethren who were formerly attending in Dagupan. I encouraged them to worship in Villa Laida for their convenience and continued fellowship. We also conducted a Bible study in one of the houses we visited, further strengthening the faith of those in attendance.
October 8 (Midweek service)
For the second week in a row, we were blessed to have one of our elders teach in our Bible study. Brother Flor shared a thought-provoking lesson entitled “Few Saved,” reminding the brethren of the importance of living faithfully and walking in the narrow way that leads to life.
October 12 (Sunday Worships)
In our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, Brother Jun Rimando continued his series on the Book of John, covering John 5:21–47. His lesson provided deeper insight into the authority and works of Christ. During the worship service, Brother Rody delivered a sermon from the Book of Lamentations, offering encouragement and reflection through the lessons drawn from Israel’s experiences.
We are thankful that Brother Robert was able to preach during our service in Palca. He delivered an uplifting lesson entitled “Redeeming the Time,” reminding the brethren of the importance of using every opportunity to serve the Lord faithfully.
In Dagupan, I was given the opportunity to preach a lesson entitled “Everywhere,” emphasizing that wherever we go, we must continue to live as Christians and let our light shine before others.
October 15 (Midweek Service)
In our Bible study, Brother Rody shared a lesson entitled “Facts About the Bible.” His message helped the brethren appreciate the reliability, inspiration, and authority of God’s Word.
October 16 (Bible study)
We were invited by brother Dennis Yuson to visit Aquib, Piat, where we were able to distribute Bible tracts. I am thankful that I was also able to share printable tracts with my fellow preachers, which we now use during our evangelistic activities. After the distribution, Brother Dennis asked me to preach, and upon seeing my lesson entitled “Anything,” he requested that I share it with the group. The Bible study was held at the house of brother Jo Tablac, and all those present were Christians.
October 18
We were blessed to be part of the wedding of our brethren from Palca, brother Victor and sister Jonalyn Soriano. Before the wedding ceremony, we first held spiritual singing and a Bible study, giving emphasis to God’s design for marriage. The event took place in Batu, Enrile, and it was a joyful occasion filled with thanksgiving and fellowship among the brethren.
October 19 (Sunday Worships)
For our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, we were glad to have a new teacher, brother Mark Tamaray, who was baptized early this year in January. Since it is a Bible study, we are helping one another grow in understanding of God’s Word. Brother Mark presented the lesson, and we all participated in a fruitful discussion. The study focused on John 6:1–15. During the worship service, brother Rody preached from the Book of Jeremiah, delivering an encouraging message drawn from the prophet’s experiences and faithfulness.
In Palca, I had originally prepared a different lesson, but since we had several visitors in attendance, I decided to preach the lesson entitled “True Worshippers.” The message emphasized the kind of worship that God seeks—those who worship Him in spirit and in truth.
In Dagupan, Brother Robert shared an inspiring lesson entitled “Redeeming the Time,” encouraging the brethren to make the best use of every opportunity in serving the Lord.
October 22 (Midweek service)
In our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Rody taught a lesson on “Covenants Found in the Bible (In Eden).” The study focused on God’s covenantal relationship with man from the beginning, helping the brethren understand the importance of God’s promises and His plan for mankind.
October 26 (Sunday Worship)
We continued our Bible study here in Tuguegarao with brother Mark Tamaray as our teacher. He continued his lesson on John 6:16–21, helping the brethren gain a deeper understanding of Christ’s power and care over His followers. During the worship service, brother Rody delivered a sermon from the Book of Ezekiel, offering guidance and encouragement through the prophet’s message of God’s faithfulness and restoration.
Since it was the last Sunday of the month, our worship services in Palca and Dagupan were held earlier than usual and conducted at the same time. Brother Robert went to Palca to lead the service there, while I went to Dagupan to minister to the brethren.
In Dagupan, I was given the opportunity to preach the lesson entitled “Why Do People Die?” This lesson was particularly meaningful because it was also requested by Brother Jun Layusa for the upcoming Gospel Meeting in Bicol. The message focused on both the spiritual and physical aspects of death, helping the brethren reflect on the brevity of life and the importance of being prepared to meet the Lord. I emphasized that understanding the truth about death should inspire us to live faithfully, serve God wholeheartedly, and encourage others to do the same.
October 28
We began our trip to Bicol at around 10:00 in the morning. If we had traveled straight, it would have taken approximately 21 hours by land. However, recognizing the difficulty of such a long journey, we stopped in Santo Tomas, Batangas at around 9:00 in the evening and rested overnight in a small hotel in the area to regain strength for the remainder of the trip.
October 29
We resumed our travel to Bicol at around 9:00 in the morning. We are thankful to God for His protection throughout the long journey, and by His grace, we arrived at our destination at approximately 5:00 in the afternoon. We were warmly welcomed by brother Jun Layusa and the two local preachers, brother Rony Romero and brother Jovy Lavilla, they are both his son-in-laws, who are shepherding the congregation where the Gospel Meeting was to be held. For the night, we stayed at a nearby hotel to rest and prepare for the activities ahead.
October 30 (First day of Gospel Meeting)
This was my first time visiting Del Rosario, Mercedes, Camarines Norte, Bicol Province, and also my first time traveling such a long distance by land.
On the morning of the Gospel Meeting, I was scheduled as the first speaker. As previously mentioned, I preached on the topic “Why Do People Die?” The second speaker was Brother Jay Gumpad, who shared the lesson “What Will Happen After Death?” After the two lessons, a question-and-answer session was held. Many questions were asked, and we are grateful that the discussion was meaningful and spiritually enriching for the attendees.
In the afternoon, Brother Jerome Forelo shared a lesson entitled “The Power and Hope of Resurrection.” Another session of questions and answers followed, resulting in a healthy and enlightening discussion. An invitation to obey the gospel was extended, and we rejoiced as four precious souls obeyed the gospel. They were baptized in a nearby river, marking the fruitful outcome of the meeting.
October 31 (Second day of Gospel Meeting)
On the second day of the Gospel Meeting, Brother Rolly Salvador preached in the morning on the topic “The Great Day of Judgment.” The second speaker for the morning session was Brother Rodel Baagin, who shared the lesson “The Everlasting Salvation in Heaven.” During the question-and-answer session, we were joined by two visitors—one from the Jehovah’s Witnesses and another from a Born-Again Church. The discussion was extensive, as they held doctrines that differed from biblical teachings.
In the afternoon, Brother Froilan Dacoco preached on the topic “The Everlasting Punishment in Hell.” The two visitors continued to attend, and the discussion remained healthy and enlightening, even after the session ended. An invitation was extended to obey the gospel, and we rejoiced that one precious soul obeyed the gospel, bringing further fruit from the meeting.
After the baptisms, we began our journey back to Tuguegarao, departing from Bicol at approximately 5:00 PM. We arrived in Calamba, Laguna at around 1:00 AM and rested for the night. The following morning, we resumed our travel at around 9:00 AM (November 1) and, by God’s grace, arrived safely in Tuguegarao at approximately 10:00 PM, thankful for His protection throughout the entire journey.
November 2 (Sunday Worship)
In our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Mark Tamaray continued his teaching, covering John 6:22–71. The brethren were able to engage in discussion and deepen their understanding of the lessons from this passage. During the worship service, brother Rody delivered a sermon from the Book of Daniel, providing encouragement and spiritual guidance drawn from the prophet’s life and experiences.
In the afternoon service at Palca, I was able to teach the lesson “Why Do People Die?”. Last Tuesday, I informed brother Robert that I might not be able to arrive by Sunday due to the long trip and may have to worship in whichever congregation we could pass by. Thankfully, by God’s grace, I arrived on Saturday night. Although still a little tired, I was able to serve for the entire day. Unfortunately, Brother Robert could not attend as he and his wife were unwell, so I taught in both congregations in the afternoon.
In Dagupan, I preached the lesson “How Are We Saved?” I am very grateful that two visitors, who had been attending for nearly two months, decided to obey the gospel. They are brother Angelo Borja and sister Anabelle Barallin, and we rejoiced as they were baptized in the baptistery at Palca.
November 4
We were invited by brother Jun Antonio to Nabbialan for a tract distribution. It was a little rainy when we arrived, but thankfully, the rain stopped during the activity. We are grateful that we were able to continue the work despite the weather. Truly, God’s providence made it possible for us to accomplish our purpose. We were also glad to meet and encourage some of the brethren in the area. Most of the people were at work or school, but we were still able to talk with some who were at home and gladly accepted the tracts. We pray that the seed of God’s word planted in their hearts will grow and lead them to seek the truth.
