Preaching activities from March 1- April 7, 2026

 March 1 (Sunday Worships)

For our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, we were blessed to have brother Flor share with us from John 12:9–15, giving us a deeper understanding of the people’s response to the Lord Jesus Christ during His entry into Jerusalem. Following this, brother Rody preached a powerful sermon from Daniel 6, reminding us of the steadfast faith of Daniel and how we must remain faithful to God even in the face of trials and opposition.

In the afternoon, we proceeded to Palca, where I had the opportunity to share the first part of my lesson on the Prodigal Son. I focused particularly on the danger of impatience with God’s timing, emphasizing how rushing ahead of God’s will can lead to unnecessary struggles and consequences in our lives.

Later, in Dagupan, brother Robert preached a thought-provoking message entitled “Where Should I Use My Eye?” which challenged us to be mindful of what we allow into our hearts through our sight.

March 4 (Midweek Service)

In our Bible study, we had brother Rody discuss with us the New Covenant. He explained how it reveals God’s grace through the Lord Jesus Christ and how it replaces the old way with a better promise.

March 5 (Bible Study)

We went to Minagbag Church for a midweek Bible study with our brethren there. We were also blessed to have brother Jimmy Duque with us, and he preached a very important message entitled, “Is Your Name Written in the Book of Life?” The sermon was both challenging and encouraging, reminding everyone to examine their personal relationship with the Lord and to have the assurance of their salvation.

In the evening, we had a Bible study at the Ganela’s house. We spent a blessed time together in singing, prayers, and the study of God’s Word. After the lesson, we sang an invitation song, and we were truly overjoyed that Mrs. Edward and Mrs. Maxima finally decided to obey the gospel. They have been attending worship with us here in Tuguegarao for many months already, so it was a great blessing to witness their decision to follow the Lord.

Since our baptistery here in Tuguegarao is currently under renovation, we brought them to a nearby resort. We are thankful to God that even though it was already late at night, we were still able to find an open place. There, we baptized them in the swimming pool. It was a joyful and memorable moment for everyone, and we give all the glory to God for the souls that were added to His kingdom.

March 6 (Preaching Trip)

We were invited by brother Albin and Alex Lagat to visit Gonzaga and Sta. Ana, Cagayan, which is about a 3-hour travel from our place. We first went to Namuyican, Gonzaga, where they warmly welcomed us. Upon arrival, we immediately went to work by distributing Bible tracts around the area. Afterward, we gathered at the house of Mrs. Remedios Ramos for a Bible study. We learned that she had been attending worship services in the area from time to time, and through our study, she finally decided to obey the gospel. We then buried her in baptism in a nearby body of water, rejoicing for her decision to follow the Lord.

In the afternoon, we proceeded to the Port Irene Church. This was originally scheduled for the following day, but the brethren informed us that there were already individuals who were ready to obey the gospel, so we went ahead with the work that same afternoon. The congregation there does not yet have a proper place of worship; they gather under a small tent every Sunday. The brethren in both congregations we visited are very poor, and we are thankful to God that we were given the opportunity to help them even in a small way.

During our Bible study, brother Gerald preached from the account of Samuel and the Amalekites, emphasizing the truth that “it is better to obey the Lord than to sacrifice.” Among those present were two Mormon bishops who happened to be passing by, and we invited them to join us. After the lesson, they asked several questions, which we answered using the Bible rather than relying on any other book. When the invitation was extended, three precious souls responded and chose to obey the gospel. We baptized them in the beach area, giving thanks to God for the harvest of souls.

It was already late at night when we finished the work, so we decided to travel back home the following day. It was truly a beautiful and rewarding experience to labor together with the brethren there, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve in these places.

March 8 (Sunday Worships)

For our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, we were blessed to have brother Jun discuss with us John 12:9–19, helping us better understand the events surrounding the Lord’s entry into Jerusalem and the response of the people toward Him. In the sermon, brother Rody preached from Daniel 7, giving us a meaningful lesson about God’s sovereignty and His everlasting kingdom, reminding us to remain faithful no matter the circumstances.

In the afternoon, at Palca, brother Robert preached a good lesson about the types of prayer that God accepts. It was a very practical message that encouraged the brethren to examine their prayer life and to approach God with sincerity, humility, and faith.

Later, in Dagupan, I was also given the opportunity to preach about the Prodigal Son, focusing on the danger of impatience with God’s timing.

March 11 (Bible Study)

We were invited to go to Tupang, Alcala, where brother Fernando Duque is preaching. The original plan was to conduct a Bible study across the river. We arrived early at the river and waited for a boat that we could rent to cross, but unfortunately, none were available at that time. Because of this, we decided to make good use of the opportunity by distributing Bible tracts around the area.

While doing so, we were able to find an open door to share God’s Word. We were invited to have a Bible study with Mrs. Taguba and Mrs. Concordia. We are thankful to the Lord for this unexpected opportunity, as what seemed like a delay turned into a blessing and a chance to reach souls with the gospel.

In the evening, we had our midweek Bible study here in Tuguegarao. The elders invited brother Mariano Beljera from Ilagan City to be our speaker. He shared a meaningful lesson from Matthew 19:16–30, teaching about the rich young ruler and emphasizing the importance of wholehearted commitment to the Lord. The message reminded us that following Christ requires sacrifice, humility, and a willingness to put Him above all earthly possessions.

March 12 (Bible Study)

We went again to Minagbag Church for their midweek service. Brother Fernando Duque was the invited speaker, and he shared a lesson about the life of Noah, emphasizing faith, obedience, and walking with God even in difficult times. When the invitation was extended, we were truly glad that Mr. Reymundo Igar finally decided to obey the gospel. We rejoice with the brethren for this precious soul who has chosen to follow the Lord.

In the evening, brother Robert Rances invited me to preach at the wake of one of their neighbors in Lingu, Solana. I was able to share a lesson from the life of David, focusing on the death of his child. The lesson emphasized trusting in God’s will even in times of deep sorrow and finding comfort in His promises, reminding those in attendance that God’s ways are higher than ours and that He remains faithful in every circumstance.

March 13 (Bible Study)

We were invited by brother Reymund Welba to Tumauini, Isabela for a Bible preaching activity, as well as a thanksgiving celebration for the first birthday of his son, Joshua. It was a joyful occasion where both physical and spiritual blessings were celebrated. During the gathering, brother Edgar Licodini shared a meaningful lesson about giving thanks to God, reminding everyone of the importance of gratitude in all circumstances and acknowledging God as the source of every blessing. There are a lot on non-christian in attendance and we had a great opportunity to share personally to them after the study.

March 15 (Sunday Worships)

In our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Jun Bassig continued his lesson from the book of John, covering John 12:20–50. It was a meaningful study that helped us better understand the Lord’s teachings and His call for true belief and commitment. In the sermon, brother Rody preached from Daniel 8, giving us insight into God’s sovereignty over kingdoms and reminding us that His plans will always prevail.

In the afternoon, at Palca, we were blessed to have brother Emer Yuson, a preacher from Limus, Kalinga, as our guest speaker. He had previously mentioned that every Sunday afternoon he would pass by our chapel in Palca and notice our gathering, so I invited him to stop by and preach for us. He graciously accepted and shared a good lesson about priorities, encouraging the brethren to put God first in all aspects of life.

Later, in Dagupan, brother Robert also preached a lesson on the types of prayer that God accepts. It was a helpful and practical message that reminded everyone to approach God in prayer with the right heart and attitude.

March 18 (Bible Study)

We were invited by brother Dennis Yuson to Virginia, Piat, where the congregation has just recently been re-established. The church there had stopped meeting before the pandemic, but we thank God that brother Dennis was encouraged to reopen the work. They have now been worshipping again for about a month, and this time, he invited us to help in strengthening the work in the area.

We began by distributing Bible tracts and also tried to locate some of the Christians who were part of the congregation before. Many of them were not aware that the church had resumed meeting, and they were very glad and encouraged to return to worship again.

During our Bible study, some of their neighbors joined us. Like the Ethiopian eunuch, even though it was their first time to hear the gospel, they responded with open hearts. Brother Jay preached a clear and powerful lesson on the Great Commission. When the invitation was extended, four individuals came forward to confess their faith in Christ. However, when we went to the water for baptism, only three were baptized. One elderly woman was unable to proceed due to the cold water. Please continue to pray for her, that she may soon have another opportunity to obey the gospel.

We thank God for the souls that responded and for the opportunity to be part of the work in reviving the congregation in that place.

In the evening, during our midweek service here in Tuguegarao, brother Jay preached a meaningful lesson entitled “Do Not Neglect Your Salvation.” The message served as a strong reminder for all of us to remain vigilant in our faith, to value the salvation we have received, and to continue growing in our relationship with the Lord.

March 19 (Bible Study)

We also had our midweek service at Minagbag Church. This time, we were blessed to have brother Jun Antonio with us as the speaker. He preached a lesson entitled “How to Gain What You Desire to Get,” encouraging the brethren to align their desires with God’s will and to pursue them through faith, obedience, and a right relationship with the Lord.

March 22 (Sunday Worships)

In our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, we were blessed to have brother Zack discuss with us John 13:1–17, highlighting the humility and servant-hearted example of our Lord Jesus Christ when He washed His disciples’ feet. The lesson reminded us of the importance of serving one another with love and humility. In the sermon, brother Rody preached from Daniel 9, giving us a deeper understanding of God’s faithfulness and the power of sincere prayer.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached the second part of my outline on the Prodigal Son, focusing on the importance of being a good steward and reminding the brethren of their identity in Christ. The lesson emphasized how living responsibly and faithfully reflects our relationship with God and brings glory to Him.

Later, in Dagupan, brother Robert preached a lesson on the results of disobedience to God’s commands. He encouraged the brethren to examine their lives and to follow the Lord wholeheartedly, highlighting both the blessings of obedience and the consequences of turning away from God’s instructions.

March 24 (Bible Study)

Brother Jun Bassig invited us to have a Bible study at the house of his in-law, Mr. Reming Dagan. The family members are all Catholics, and brother Jun wanted us to share the truths found in the Bible. We began by explaining and demonstrating what we do in the church, starting with singing spiritual songs—different from the practices often seen on TV, such as using instruments, dancing, or jumping. The family was happy to see this and showed genuine interest in learning more.

Brother Rody then shared a meaningful lesson about the dispensations in the Bible and the identity of the true church. The family listened attentively, asking questions and expressing eagerness to understand God’s Word more deeply. It was a fruitful and encouraging time of teaching and fellowship.

March 25 (Bible Study)

We were invited by brother Jun Antonio to Lugong, Amulung. Despite the noticeable summer heat, we were glad to have the opportunity to distribute Bible tracts throughout the area. We also conducted a Bible study at the place where the brethren worship every Sunday. They do not yet have a chapel, so they meet under a tent that they have assembled, and on very hot days, they worship under the shade of a tree.

During the Bible study, brother James Attaban shared a meaningful lesson from 2 Kings 20:15, encouraging the brethren to trust in God’s promises and to remain faithful in their worship and service, even in challenging circumstances. It was a blessed time of teaching, fellowship, and encouragement for everyone present.

In the evening, we had our midweek service here in Tuguegarao. Brother Fernando Duque was invited to preach and shared a meaningful lesson about Joseph, the husband of Mary. He emphasized Joseph’s faith, obedience, and righteousness in carrying out God’s will, even in difficult and uncertain circumstances. The lesson encouraged all of us to trust God’s guidance and to faithfully fulfill the responsibilities He has given us.

March 26 (Bible Study)

We were invited by brother Edgar Lingbawan to San Francisco, San Manuel, to help encourage the brethren in the area. We conducted a Bible study at the house of one of the sisters, and many of their neighbors joined us, most of whom are non-Christians. Brother Jun Antonio shared a meaningful lesson entitled “Wrong Foundation of Faith,” reminding everyone of the importance of building their lives on the truth of God’s Word rather than human traditions or false teachings. The study was well-received, and we are thankful for the opportunity to reach both the brethren and the neighbors with the gospel.

March 29 (Sunday worships)

In our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Zach finished his lesson from the book of John, covering John 13:18–39. The study highlighted the Lord’s teachings and His example of humility and love toward His disciples. In the sermon, brother Rody preached from Daniel 10, giving insight into God’s sovereignty and the power of prayer. During the invitation, we were overjoyed that Mr. Reming and his wife finally decided to obey the gospel. I was not able to witness the actual baptism, as I needed to leave early to go to Palca.

In the afternoon, since it was the last Sunday of the month, brother Robert and I went to different congregations. He went to Dagupan, while I went to Palca with brother Mario. Brother Mario preached a meaningful lesson entitled “Portrait of a Good Church Member,” encouraging the brethren to live faithfully, serve diligently, and maintain a strong relationship with the Lord.

April 1

We went to Santo Tomas Church to attend the burial service of brother David Balubal, one of the first two converts in the congregation. The other brother had already passed away last year, and this time, it was brother David’s turn. He died after battling lung cancer. Brother David was also the generous donor of the land where the chapel now stands. We are truly thankful for his selfless and generous heart. Even his children are happy and supportive of the chapel being on their family land. I mention this because, in some places, children take back land after their parents pass away, but here in Santo Tomas, the children are faithful Christians who rejoice that the chapel continues to serve the Lord.

Brother Gerald preached a comforting and encouraging lesson about death and our eternal destiny, reminding all who were present of the hope we have in Christ.

In the evening, during our midweek service, I had the opportunity to share a lesson about Jehoshaphat entitled “Faith That Worships Before the Victory.” The lesson emphasized how true faith trusts and worships God even when the outcome seems uncertain, just as Jehoshaphat did. It encouraged the brethren to remain steadfast in prayer and worship, knowing that God is in control and will fight for His people.

April 5 (Sunday Worships)

For our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, we were blessed to have another brother share with us, this time brother Jun Rimando. He discussed John 14:1–15, teaching about trusting in the Lord and obeying His commandments out of love. In the sermon, brother Rody preached from Daniel 11, giving insight into God’s sovereignty over kingdoms and His faithfulness to His people throughout all generations.

In the afternoon, at Palca, brother James Attaban joined us and preached a timely lesson entitled “Wasting Time in a Nonsense Life?” The message encouraged the brethren to examine how they spend their time and to focus on things that are truly meaningful and pleasing to God.

Meanwhile, in Dagupan, I was also able to preach the lesson “Faith That Worships Before the Victory.” This period marks the start of summer vacation and is considered a holy day in the country due to the Catholic tradition of celebrating Easter. Many people take the opportunity to go to beaches, resorts, or travel to other places. In Palca, most of our brethren had returned home, but in Dagupan, some of our brethren went to visit their families in other towns. Despite these circumstances, the Word of God was still shared and received, and we are thankful for the opportunity to reach those who were present.

In the evening, we went to Bagbag, Rizal, to visit the wake of sister Princess Agsaoay. She passed away on March 27 at the age of 37 due to stage 4 bone cancer. Her husband, brother Kevin, is a doctor, and both of them work here in Tuguegarao. They also bought a house here, which is why they have been worshipping with us. Princess was studying law and was expected to graduate in 2026, but in October of last year, she was diagnosed with this illness. She and her husband were very faithful and generous brethren. Brother Kevin’s father is also an elder in their congregation at Babalag Church, where brother Gerald Ganela is preaching.

During the service, brother Jay Gumpad preached a powerful lesson using Alexander the Great as an example, illustrating from the Bible that all worldly riches and accomplishments are ultimately meaningless compared to our faith in God. He highlighted that sister Princess and brother Kevin were materially well-off, yet their spiritual richness far surpassed their material wealth. They lived humbly and faithfully, never seeing themselves as greater than others, and their lives were a testimony of placing God first above all else.

April 7

We attended the burial of sister Princess Agsaoay, where a service was held with many of their family members, church brethren, friends, and co-workers in attendance. Brother Rody shared a comforting lesson from the story of Abraham and the death of his wife, Sarah, reminding everyone of God’s faithfulness even in times of loss.

The burial customs in their region, Kalinga, differ from ours here in Cagayan. There, it is customary to bury the dead in their own backyard, and visiting houses in that region, one can often see tombs behind the homes. Here, however, we had to bring her to the cemetery.

Please continue to pray for brother Kevin and his two young children, aged 7 and 3. Brother Kevin’s faith remains strong, and during the burial, he expressed that he does not know what lies ahead, but our prayers are all the support he needs at this time.
