Preaching activities in the month of March 2017

March 1 (Midweek bible study at Tuguegarao)

We studied the 5th chapter of the book of Galatians with the help of brother Jay Gumpad. I led our opening songs and prayer. Brother Jay gave a wonderful explanation of the chapter. Brother Jerome close our service with the prayer.

March 5 (Sunday service at Tuguegarao and Palca)

With our situation with my son who was hospitalized the night after our worship, my wife and I planned that we go to worship in different time. My wife attended the worship here in Tuguegarao in the morning and still got a chance to teach in the children’s class. In the afternoon, I traveled to Palca to preach there and share a lesson about “Then the devil comes”. We have six visitors during our worship and they came from three different villages. Two young ladies came from Dagupan, another two young ladies from Palca and two adult from Angang. I got a chance to talk to them after the worship and shared about the true church to them. All of them came from the Catholic Church.

March 4- 8 we were at the hospital that’s why we didn’t attend our midweek service on the 8th because we work on the papers of the son’s release from the hospital. With the Lord’s help, we got out at around 9 in the evening. Thank you for your prayers.

March 9 (Gospel Meeting at Bangag, Solana)

We were invited to go to the Gospel Meeting by brother Robert Pader. Together with brother Jay in my car, we got there at around 1:30 already. We were late because of the heavy traffic. When we arrived, brother Manny Pader is already in the last part of his lesson. He preached about “Work out your own salvation”. Brother Jay Gumpad was the second speaker who preached “Three questions for salvation”, in the picture, it shows different title because it is in Ilocano language. The last speaker was brother Florendo Respicio who preached “Priority”. After the lessons, I stand to lead the invitation song, but got no response from the audience. The average age of the brethren in attendance where around 55 to 60, not including us preachers who attended. Only a few young people because they are all in school.

March 12 (Sunday service at Tuguegarao and Palca)

I again stand and taught in our bible study here in Tuguegarao. I also shared to them the lesson about “Then the devil comes”. In the sermon, brother Rody preached “Take Job as an example”.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them the lesson “I shouldn’t be alive”. The content of the lesson is about the man in the bible who should already be dead, but because of their faith to God, they remained alive despite all the difficulties they encountered in their lives (Shedrach, Meschach, Abednego, Moses, Daniel, Peter, Paul, Christ and Us).

March 15 (Midweek bible study at Tuguegarao)

We started on the book of Ephesians and I was the one who preached on this night. I gave the introduction to the book and discuss the first chapter.

March 17 (Visitation)

Sister Charlene Fernandez sent a text message to me that she and her son has been sick for almost two weeks already and so I visited them in their house and prayed with them.

March 19 (Sunday service at Tuguegarao and Palca)

In our bible study I shared to them also the lesson “I shouldn’t be alive”. In the sermon, brother Jerome preached “1 John 2:18-27 – Beware of anti-Christ”.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them “Ephesians 1:3-14” about the spiritual blessings that God has given to all those who are IN CHRIST.

March 22 (Midweek bible study at Tuguegarao)

I again stand to preach on the book of Ephesians, and now on the second chapter of the book. The points of the lesson is the salvation by grace. The chapter discuss our past, present and future life and also we are united in Christ as one body.

March 26 (Sunday service at Tuguegarao and Palca)

I got again another chance to teach in our bible study. This time I am encouraged to teach about the lesson on the rich man and Lazarus and got the title of the lesson “What the rich man know and we need to remember”. He knew that there are lost souls, family ties cannot save us, the lost need our concern, God’s word is the final authority and the fate of a soul is sealed at death. In the sermon, brother Jerome preached about “The five facts of life”, we are a sinner, we are going to die, we will be judged, we can’t save ourselves and our only hope is Jesus Christ.

In the afternoon, I also preached the same lesson “What the rich man know and we need to remember” in Palca. We do not have any visitor at this time because it is again the time of the year where many of the villagers are in the farm to harvest their crops. It will take three of four weeks before they can again come to join us. The brethren are always in attendance, they give time for God and the rest will be done later.

March 29 (Midweek bible study at Tuguegarao)

Brother Rody continued our study on the book of Ephesians and now we are on the third chapter. I again led our opening songs as to start our good service. Our study centered on Paul showing proof our his worthiness and also the good things God has showed to all those who believe in Him.
