their own ways are the things God hates.

May
31, I went to Palca to follow-up on our contacts, Grace and Kyla, who are attending our worships for months and
wanted to hear their thoughts and questions about what are the things they
wanted to know and that hinders them not to be baptized yet. One of the
questions asked is about baptism, wherein they were baptized in the Catholic
church and they wanted to know, do they still need to be baptized again? Of
course as we know it, they were baptized to be added to the Catholic church and
in the bible, in order to be a member of the Lord’s church we need to baptized in
the Lord’s name (Gal. 3:27). After answering this questions, I gave to them
examples of bible baptism.

understand “Why be a Christian?” but
still no decision made for both Grace and Kyla.

June
7, brother Rody made a phone call to me early in
the morning at around 6:30 to asked me to go to Manila to help in the service
at Edsa-Pasay because he is here in Tuguegarao. I didn’t have second thoughts
but immediately I agreed to go even if I do not have the funds. I traveled
going to Manila at around 11:00 in the morning at I arrived there at 2 AM the
next day. It is a very long travel because of traffic and the bus always stop
to pick up passengers.
June
8, I got a little rest from my trip with 2 hours of
sleep and off to preparation for the Lord’s day early at 6 in the morning.
In our service at Edsa-Pasay church,
brother Rupert Gaspar taught in our bible
study about “Christian Living” and I preached in the sermon about “God hates
religion”. I still feel very tired while standing in front but I know that
I tried my best to deliver the sermon and encourage the brethren.
In the afternoon, brother Rupert preached in the service about “Truth on the story of Noah”. I asked
him to do it because it seems my world is turning and I felt dizzy. For the
whole day, we recorded an attendance of 46 with 3 children.
I traveled back to Tuguegarao at
around 7 in the evening and arrived safely home at 8 in the morning.
June
10, in our preachers’ bible study,
brother Jimmy Duque taught “The power of
prayer” and “Ephesians 1”.
June
11, in our midweek service, brother Rody taught “Luke 1” wherein he just put on summary the chapter and it’s up to
us to read more about it.
June
13, our Gospel Meeting here at Metro Tuguegarao. Our main speakers were
brother Jaime “Jimmy” Bopis, Ben Termulo
and Ronald Molina, all from Bulacan.
We started with our first studies in
the evening wherein brother Ben
preached about “Image” about what we
need to show to the world as a Christian and brother Jimmy preached “Measure it” that
explains every command of God, there is a measurement or what we call steps to
follow.
June
14, we continued with our Gospel
Meeting, we start in the morning with brother Ronald Molina preaching “Shining as lights of the world”
followed by brother Ben who preached
“Approach” and lastly brother Jimmy who preached “Man’s ignorance of God’s appointed time”. After the lessons,
invitation was extended and 5 precious souls went in front to confess their
faith. They were baptized in the baptistery in the church building.
In the afternoon, brother Ben first preached to us about “Selling”, not about selling that we do
in the market but as how we Sell or present the words of God to all the people
and trying to make them buy or obey what we present. In the last lesson,
brother Jimmy preached about “Importance of using the timeline”.
Again, we sung the invitation song and three
precious souls confess their faith. One of them is very young that’s why we
needed to asked him personally why he wanted to be baptized, he answered
without hesitation or doubt that he wanted his sins to be removed and wanted to
have salvation. So we baptized them again in our baptistery as what they
desired to do.
June
14, in our Lord’s day service, brother Ben taught in our bible study about “Value” and in the sermon, brother Jimmy preached “True Worship”. We again sung the invitation song and one of the young people(Angela) who is with as our services us
for I think a month already decided to be baptized.
In the afternoon at Palca, brother Ben came with me and he preached about “Steps” following up the lesson I taught the previous Sundays about
why we need to be a Christian. We sung the invitation song after the lesson but
no one went in front. But after our closing prayer, Grace, who is always the first one to get out of the room after
services stayed on her seat and seems like she wanted to say something. We
talked to her and so she told us, she
wanted already to be baptized. We are very happy to hear of her decision
and so we went to prepare the baptistery but unluckily, no water is coming out
from the faucet. We decided to baptized her in a near river, but the nearest is
about 10 km away. We drive our car and went to the river. It was there where
she confess and we baptized her in water.
June
17, in our preachers’ bible study. Brother
Ronald Molina taught about “How to
destroy our influence?” A very helpful lesson that we as preachers need to
know so that we will not be a stumbling block to all who are listening to us. Then brother Jimmy preached about "Gathering all things in Christ all at the same time".
In the afternoon, brother Dennis Yuson taught “Ephesians 2”.
June
18, in our midweek service here at Tuguegarao,
brother Rody taught in place of
brother Efren on “Luke 2”.
June
22, in our Lord’s day service here at
Tuguegarao, brother Jay taught in
our bible study about “Do not love the
world” and in the sermon brother Jun
preached “Ebenezer: Stone of health”.
In the afternoon at Palca, I preached to them about the
question “Why?” In the body of the lesson we answered the questions “Why we
seek God?”, “We we are Christians?” and “Why are we here today?”. After the
service, I asked the grandmother of Kyla because for two weeks, she is not in
attendance. They told me that she was sick with fever and still very weak until
now, so we post for a moment and offer a prayer to God that He will give her
the strength back and also that she will obey the truth of His word.
