Activities from April 30 to May 22

April 30, brother James and sister Len Attabam requested for a thanksgiving service for their son who is just turns 2 years of age. Brother Jun shared a short lesson about “He climbed a tree to see Jesus”. There are a lot of visitors who came and some of them are non-christians. After the lesson we extended the invitation and we are happy that two of them decided to obey the truth. Brother James has been sharing God’s word to them before and now they finally obeyed.

May 3, I went to Palca to visit again the brethren. I went to Mr. Junior Sabado’s house. He was attending services before but since injuring his feet, that he can no longer walk, he stop coming. I shared to him an example from the bible about “The faith of the lame man”. He was inspired by the story and said that “someday” he will again join us in worship.

May 4, in our Lord’s day service, brother Jay taught in our bible study about “Two appointments”. In the sermon, brother Rody preached “Husband and Wife”.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them about “Some things we will never do in heaven”.

May 6, in our preachers bible study, we had a visitor from the National Statistics office who gave a seminar about “Solemnizing”.

In the afternoon, brother Rody shared to us “Organization of the church”.

May 7, in our midweek service, brother Rody taught “Mark 13”.

May 8, we went to the gospel meeting at Guiddem, Abulug where brother Johnson Ramil preaches. In the morning, brother Jerome was the first speaker and he preached about “The conversion of Saul”, followed by brother Geronimo Ganila who preached “The church of God which he hath purchased with his own blood” and the last speaker in the morning was brother Rody who preached the first part of his lesson “Two things that was said to fix: Church”. We sung the invitation song and we are happy that one precious soul went in front to confess his faith.

In the afternoon, brother Jun was the first speaker and he preached about “He climbed a tree to see Jesus”. And finally brother Rody was the last to speak and he preached the second part of his lesson “Two things that was said to fix: Family”.

May 9, in the evening, we traveled to Manila.

May 11, in our Lord’s day service at Edsa-Pasay church in Manila, I taught in our bible study about “What is that in your hand?” and brother Junie Samontina preached “Prepare to meet thy God”.

In the afternoon, we are only 7 in attendance, and I preached to them about “Things we will never do in heaven”.

May 13, in our preachers’ bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Rody shared the summary of “Galatians 1-3”. And in the afternoon, we had an open forum because the scheduled speaker did not arrived.

May 14, in our midweek service, brother Jerome taught “Mark 14”.

May 18, in our Lord’s day service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about “Hope of the empty tomb”. And I preached in the sermon about “God hates religion”.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I invited brother Jun to come with me and he preached to them about “The error of Infant Baptism”.

May 19, I preached in the radio program about “Uprooting worry”. The things that remove us of our happiness are the things we always worry about.

May 20, I wanted to attend the preachers’ bible study but I failed because I have a migraine that I cannot even get out of bed.

May 21, in our midweek service, brother Jun taught “1 Thessalonians 5”.

May 22, we went to the bible study at Bauan, Solana where brother Robert and Gemiano Pader are preaching. Brother Jay taught first about “What way to choose”, and lastly brother Jun taught “The true Church of Christ”. I led the singing in the invitation and three went in front to confess their faith. They were baptized in the river here at Tuguegarao.
