Activities from April 9-29

April 9 – in our midweek service, brother Jay taught the lesson on “Mark 11”.

April 12I went to visit brother Arnold and sister Venus Supnad. They are siblings and are already been baptized into Christ. Their grandmother who is taking care of them is always attending services and she asked my help to bring them back to the church. I talked to both of them and taught the importance of serving the Lord.

April 13 – in our Lord’s day service here in Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught “Tailored Religion” wherein denominations make their own doctrines and gave additions to the bible. In the sermon, brother Jay preached about “Does the Lord know you?” There are many ways on how we could tell that God knows us and one of them is if we do His will.

In the afternoon at Palca, I preached to them about “The Common Excuses of Man” not to obey the gospel and for the brethren not to remain faithful because of many trials and temptations.

April 14, I preached in the radio program about “Generosity”, one way that brings us happiness in our lives, not just on those whom we share what we have.

April 15, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Flor Respicio taught in the morning about “The life of Paul”, from his life as a Pharisee until his missionary journeys. In the afternoon, he taught “Galatians 1”.

April 16, in our midweek service, I taught “Mark 12”, about the parable of the tenants, paying taxes, the resurrection, the greatest commandment, warning against the teachers of the law and the widow’s gift.

April 20, in our Lord’s day service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about “Dare to be Ananais”, the one who have the courage to preach to Paul when the Lord asked him to do it. In the sermon, I preached to them about “What is that in your hand?” A question God asked to Moses when he was asked to go to Pharaoh, and he answered the rod. We all have something in our hand like the bible which we should use in our everyday lives.

In the afternoon, I preached the same lesson at Palca.

April 22, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Efren taught Galatians 2.

April 26, I went to Palca to visit brother Dondon Santiago. He was baptized when he is 12 years of age and now he is already in college. It is a little bit hard to convince young people this days to come to church because of many temptations coming from their friends who are non-Christians but together with his mother, we all prayed together to ask God for guidance.

April 27, in our Lord’s day service, brother Jun taught in our bible study about “He climbed a tree to see Jesus”, the tax collector named Zaccheuss is a very good example of a man wanting to see Jesus and ready to repent of his sins. In the sermon, brother Jerome preached “The challenges of a mid-life crisis”. The challenges in our life when we reach the middle age which is 40 that includes family problems, health problems and more.

In the afternoon, I preached at Palca about “Sin is still wrong”. Whatever we do if we transgress the law of God, it is called sin and every sin that we commit, there is a punishment when not repented.

April 28, I preached in the radio program about “Miracles we received”. Not like the miracles Jesus did but miracles that God gave to us like our life that He breathe into the formed man and the forgiveness of our sins that we could also have salvation.

April 29, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Edgar Licodini taught “Galatians 3”.

Activities from March 24 - April 8, 2014

March 24, I preached in the radio program here in Tuguegarao the topic “Avoid Evil Ways”.

March 25, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Jimmy preached in the morning on “2 Corinthians 10” and in the afternoon he preached “2 Corinthians 11”.

March 26, in our midweek service here at Tuguegarao, brother James Attaban perached on “Mark 9”. This is the first time he preach here since the preachers training that also held here in Tuguegarao. It is good to hear of his improvement and now he is currently preaching at Sta. Maria.

March 28, I went to Palca to distribute bible tracts and also invitations for our bible lectureship. I went from house to house and talk to several people. Many are saying that they will try to come, but as for my experience, when the time comes for the activity, they will not be there. But I still tried to convince them the importance of studying God’s word and the salvation of our souls.

March 30, in our Lord’s day service here at Tuguegarao, I taught in our bible study about “Christian’s fleet” and brother Rody preached in the sermon about “White Throne Judgment and Hell is real”.

In the afternoon at Palca, I preached the same lesson to them about “The Christian’s fleet”. We have five visitors in this service wherein I saw that they are all very attentive.

March 31, we went to Palca for the solemnization of our brother Rodolfo and sister Jane. Brother Robert Rances preached a short sermon while brother Rody solemnized them. I am happy for the newly wed because they are both Christians but unluckily, only sister Jane is the one attending the services while Rodolfo is not. Hope that by marriage, sister Jane will convince him to go back to church.

April 1, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Ronald preached in the morning about “Unity: Agreement and harmony among brethren” and in the afternoon, he preached about “2 Corinthians 12”.

April 2, in our midweek service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun preached on “Mark 10”.

April 4, we went to Lapogan, Gattaran where brother Joeben Jacobo, Celso Jacobo and Daniel Pasaraba preaches for their Gospel Meeting. The first speakers was brother Efren who preached about “Saved by grace” followed by brother Edgar Licodini who preached about “Eph. 2:11-19” and the last speaker in the morning is brother Geronimo Ganela who preached about “Bag with holes.”

In the afternoon, the lone speaker was brother Rody who preached about “Heed God’s warnings”. After the lesson preached, we extended the invitation and 5 precious souls went in front to confess their faith.

April 5, we had our bible lectureship at Palca. I am a little disappointed with our attendance because many of the brethren are out because of classes in school and work in the office. I thought that everyone will be there because it is a weekend, but no, even those whom I invited to come are not there. When I tried to contact some of them, they said that their child is sick and they are now in the doctor while some say they are out of town.

The first speaker was brother Robert Pader who preached about “How well do you listen?” and followed by brother Rody who preached about “Some things that are temporary”.

April 6, in our Lord’s day service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jerome taught in our bible study about “Disappointments Christians face” and brother Rody preached in the sermon about “Obtaining Salvation”.

In the afternoon at Palca, those whom I invited to come in our bible lectureship attends our Sunday worship. I am happy that they came and are very interested in the lesson I shared. I preached to them about “Consider your ways”, a lesson that teach us to consider all the things we are doing whether it be for Christ or whether it be for our own selves.

When I arrived home, brother Jimmy Domingo contacted me and invite me to join them in preaching to his invites from Lanna. Brother Rody preached to them about “The true Church of Christ”. After sharing the lesson, 9 precious souls confessed their faith and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

April 8, in our preachers bible study, I taught in the morning the lesson about “Human source of authority” wherein I pointed out some facts about what people think regarding their own way of salvation.

In the afternoon, I preached to them about “2 Corinthians 13”. The last chapter and a notice to the saints at Corinth about his third visit to them.
