Preaching activities from April 1 to May 6, 2025

 April 1 (Tracts Distribution)

We were invited by brother Jerry Soliva and Mario Garma in Padul, Solana to help them with the tracts distribution. It is the election month in our country and so people are expecting us to give them list of candidates for election but instead in it the words of God. They are happy to received it. We even saw people reading it on our way back to our cars. It is also the summer time in the Philippines that's why it is very hot outside. 





April 2 (Midweek Service)

In our bible study, we have one of our elders who shared a good lesson. Bro. Lino Darauay preached about "Rejection of God".


April 6 (Sunday Worships)

For our bible study here in Tuguegarao, we had brother Rody share the lesson on Luke 21. It is now he's turn to share in our bible study. At the same time, he also preached in the sermon on Second Kings.

In Palca, we had invited brother Emer Yuson from Sampaguita to come with us. It has been a long time since I heard him preach. When I started preaching in 2006, he is already a preacher in Virginia Church at Piat and also preaching in jail in the same town. But he stopped about 10 years ago because of financial situations. Now, his wife is working abroad and so he can again go and preach anytime. He preached the lesson "Sitting under the shade". 


In Dagupan, he also preached. This time, the topic is "Jesus is knocking on your door". We are planning on going house to house to some of his friends in Angang and Villa Laida because he studied junior high in this area before. We will conduct several bible studies and tracts distribution this coming May, Lord willing.




April 7 (Tracts distribution)

We were invited by brother Jayson Tanguilan in Sta. Barbara, Piat. It was his son's birthday. But instead of just going to there house and celebrate, we went to do tracts distribution to the village. There is a new congregation in this area and we are hoping to invite more people to join them.











 April 8 (Bible study)

We were invited to another birthday. But this time, they asked us if we can have a bible study in their house as a form of thanksgiving to God. It was the birthday of Elijah Grey Tanguilan. I was asked to preached by brother Jerome Forelo, their local preacher. I shared a lesson on 1 Thessalonians 5.  





April 9

We went to visit the wake of brother Jay Gumpad grandmother-in-law. She died at the age of 110. She did not die of any illness but of old age.  

In the evening, we had our midweek service here at Tuguegarao. I was the one who shared a lesson. It was about the rich young ruler and I entitled it "Missing Ingredient".

April 10 (Tracts distribution and bile study)

We went back to Sampaguita, Solana for another work for the Lord. We first had a bible study in their chapel with brother Jimmy Duque as the one who shared a good lesson on John 14. After the bible study, we went to different directions and distributed bible tracts. We even went inside the compound of Iglesia Ni Cristo 1914 Church and gave them tracts. 













 April 12 (Bible study)

We were invited by brother Jayson Tanguilan once again and this time at Alabug, Tuao which is his hometown. We had a bible study near their house and it was brother Jerome who shared a good lesson. There is a good number of audience, both christian and non-christian.








April 13 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study, we had brother Lance shared to us on the book of Luke at chapter 22:1-46. In the sermon, it was brother Rody who preached on 1st Chronicles.

 In the afternoon, at Palca, brother Jay joined me. Brother Robert is not with us because he was invited to preached at Roma, Enrile. Brother Jay preached the lesson "One of the saddest part of apostle Paul's life".





In Dagupan, it was me who preached the lesson "Missing Ingredient". As usual, it was very hot again during that time but we endured it for about an hour and a half. We are praying that we could finished the ceiling to lessen the heat inside the chapel. We are still lacking funds to do it right now.




April 14 (Bible study)

We went to Babayuan, Amulung where brother Ronald Valdez is preaching. We held the bible study at their unfinished church building. It has a long way to go before it will be totally completed. Brother Jimmy led the preaching while each of us who came did the singing and prayers as we usually do everywhere we go.









 April 15 (Bible Study)

We were invited by brother Emer Yuson at Padul, Solana to celebrate with them the graduation of his son, Nathan Yuson. But before the celebration, we first had the bible study where brother Jimmy was the one who shared. I was asked to led the group in the prayer.

April 16 (Bible study)

We went to Maguirig, Solana for another bible study. It is also another celebration for the birthday of brother Joshua Yuson's daughter, Bela and also the graduation of his wife, Rhea. They asked us if we could have a bible study as a way of thanksgiving to the Lord. Brother Jerome was the one who led the preaching, I led our prayer, Jerry and Edgar the singing. They invited their friends who are mostly non-christians in the study.


In the evening, in our midweek service here in Tuguegarao,  we had brother Ron Halbrook. He arrived Monday here in Tuguegarao. He preached the lesson "God is my shepherd king".

April 17-18 (Gospel Meeting)

It was our annual Gospel Meeting here in Tuguegarao. Our speaker is brother Ron for two days. We also invited brother Connie Balbin to help us in teaching songs. Brother Craig Myer also joined us. For the first day, we had a total attendance of 186. And in the second day, we have 178. I was the one who is assigned to get the list of those who attended and that's the total number we had. Brethren who came are from several congregations across the region. In our last day, we have one conversion. He is a pastor of the Lutheran Church and also their overseer. His name is Doming Gumes. Together with brother Victor Ramos, there are planning to start a new congregation at Mountain Province in Apayao. Please include them in your prayers.






April 20 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Flor took charge because Lance, who is supposedly to continue the chapter 22 of the book of Luke is on vacation with his family. So, brother Flor just shared a part of it and focuses on the Passover. In the sermon, it was me who preached because brother Rody went with brother Ron in Ilocos Region. I preached the lesson "Divine Desires".

In the afternoon, we had our brethren at Palca and Dagupan joined together in the chapel at Dagupan. We invited brother Dennis Yuson to preached to us and he shared a wonderful lesson about "I hated all my labor". 





 April 23 (Midweek service)

For our bible study, we had brother Flor sharing the lesson "Living in a tent while looking for a home". After him preaching, he asked me to give some additional thoughts on the lesson.  

April 25 (Bible study)

We traveled to Bagunot, Baggao to handle a bible study at the house of the Ramirez' Family. We stayed outside their house, under a tree because their house cannot accommodate us all. Brother Jayson was the one who led the preaching while each of us who joined help in the singing and prayers.





April 26 (Youth lectures)

We had a Youth Lectures in Cassily Lake, Tuao East where there are 77 youth in attendance. Several congregations joined the activity (Palca, Dagupan, Lingu, Bagunut, Santiago, Dy Abra, San Mateo and Tuguegarao). They enjoyed much the activity because they didn't just learned more from the bible, they also met new friends. Lord willing, another lecture will be done next year. Many congregations are already telling us that they also wanted to join.




April 27 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study, brother Lance is already with us. He continued with the lesson given to him on Luke 22:47. In the sermon, we had a guest preacher. He is the local preacher in Pasay Church. He came here in Cagayan to visit his ailing mother. He is brother James Paet. He preached the lesson about "How to become a good father/mother".

It is the final Sunday of the month and so our worship schedule is early once again. I was the one who went to Palca and I preached the lesson about "Missing Ingredients". While brother Robert went to Dagupan. 

April 30 (Midweek service)

We had another invited preacher from Santiago, Tumauini. He is brother Victor Ramos. This is the first time that I here him preach. I have met him when they invited us to their Gospel Meeting at Santiago. He preached the lesson on the "Parable of the sower".

May 4 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study, we had brother Jun Rimando Luke 23:1-7. This is the first time he teach to us. He is the son-in-law of brother Lino who is one of our elders. He did a good job for a first timer. He will continue the chapter next week. In the sermon, brother Rody continued with his series on the books of the bible. Now, he is in 2 Chronicles. Invitation was extended as we usually does and 1 precious soul obeyed the gospel. She is Irish Cabauatan. 

In the afternoon, at Palca, brother Robert preached a good lesson on "How do we know that we are saved?". We have a good attendance because some of the students are already back. Next month, they will go again to other towns for their studies.





In Dagupan, I preached the lesson "Escape for your life", from the story of Lot. Some of our brethren are also back but there are those who also went for vacations.




May 6 (Bible Study)

We went to Santo Tomas, Tuao for bible studies. We first went to the Cabahug Family. I was asked to preached and so I shared a lesson about the rich young ruler who asked the question "What should I do to inherit eternal life". I choose this because the audience is mostly non-christians. Then, we went to Mr. Max Soriano's house. He is disabled person but have a talent on grooming hair. Jayson shared a lesson about the jailor to him. We are praying that one of this days, he will already obey the gospel.
