Activities from Auust 13-18

August 13, in our preachers bible study, brother Edgar Licodini preached to us the last chapter of Romans (16). I learned new things on this lesson because of the doctrines shared by the fellow preachers that are use by denominations and answered by the bible which turns out they are all wrong.

August 14, we had a bible tracts distribution at Maguirig, Solana where brother Jun is preaching. Brother Jun, Edgar, Robert and I went around the whole village to invite the people of the coming Gospel Meeting.

In the evening, brother Jun preached in our midweek service about "Matthew 16". He is not the one who is scheduled because brother Robert Rances is sick. He took his place so we did a discussion and sharing on the lesson for the duration of the class.

August 15, in the morning, we had our Gospel Meeting at Palca where I am preaching. The invitation we did was good because many of them came. Two of the visitors is an ex-chieftain of the village and a faithful Catholic member. The visitors listened carefully to the lessons preach and even agreed on some points. Brother Mark Mayberry was the first speaker and he preached about "Why are we losing our young people?" and followed by brother Rody who preached about "Church and Government". The invitation was extended but no response from the visitors.

In the afternoon, the Gospel Meeting was held at Maguirig, Solana. Again, from the invitations we did last Wednesday, many appeared. Brother Mark preached about "God's Pattern" and followed by brother Rody who preached about "God's one way for all". The invitation was extended and three predacious souls went in front to confess their faith. They are the fruits of our labor during the tracts distribution. It is also their first time to attend, but they said that because of the lessons preached, they are like the first converts of the church who were pricked to the heart when they heard the good news of the bible. A lady who went in front is in tears when she confess her faith.

August 16, Gospel Meeting at Aquib, Piat. Brother Rody preached first about "The Holy Bible" then followed by brother Mark "Conversion of Saul" and again brother Rody "Church of Christ in the bible". The invitation was again extended and one precious soul confess her faith.

In the afternoon, we should be going to Bangag for another Gospel Meeting but the radiator of the car of brother Jay is leaking so we went back home as fast as we can because it might cause an overheat to the engine. But we heard that there were three who were baptized into Christ.

August 17, Gospel Meeting at San Pedro, Rizal. Brother Mark preached about "Why?". Why does the righteous suffer and the wicked prosper?. Then followed again by brother Rody who preached about "Learn of me". There were four who were baptized in this meeting.

In the afternoon, we went to the Gospel Meeting at Centro, Rizal. Brother Mark was the first speaker again and he preached about "Integrity" then followed by brother Rody who preached "Hearing the voice of God". Three baptism were done in the meeting. All are young ladies aging from 11 and 12.

August 18, in our Lord's day service here at Tuguegarao, brother Mark preached to us in the bible study and sermon about "Responsibilities of a husband" and "Responsibilities of a wife" respectively.

At Palca, in the afternoon, I preached to them about "I will not believe...unless". The lesson we could learn from Thomas that he will not believe Jesus' resurrection unless he can touch her hand. Same is through to all man today, they will not believe unless they can see signs from God or miracles which we knew that we could no longer experience those because of what the bible says about it.

August 19, we travel far way to the north at Capadeco, Gonzaga. Brother Mark preached to us about "Brevity of Life" and brother Rody "Destiny of Man". Three were again baptized in the meeting. After the activity, we gave to them the tents that were given as help from the brethren in the US. If you could remember my report about the aetas who live in a small house made of Banana leaves, brethren from Beeville donated funds to buy them tents so that they can live better.

In the afternoon, we went to Centro, Iguig for the last part of our trips. Brother Mark preached about "Conversion of Eunuch" and brother Rody preached about "Go..preach the gospel". Two were baptized in this meeting.

August 20, in our preachers bible study, brother Mark preach to us about "Romans 12" in a way that could help us preachers in our work. In the afternoon, brother Joal Modie preached on "1 Corinthians 1".

Activities from August 6-11

August 6, in our preachers' bible study, we heard a very encouraging lesson from brother Jerome wherein he preached about "Measure of a good preacher." This is really an encouraging one because it will push each one of us to work in the Lord's vineyard while it is day.

August 7, in our midweek service, I taught in our bible study on "Matthew 15". It is all about the tradition of the Jews against the Law of God, the faith of the Canaanite woman and the feeding of the 4,000. Jesus also showed in this chapter about his sympathy to those who are non-Jews.

August 9, we went to Palca to distribute invitations for our upcoming Gospel Meeting. With the invitations I also made two different bible tracts that we gave to the surrounding places. We actually went to four villages that includes Palca, Angang, Naruangan and Dagupan. The brethren in those places told us that they will join in the activity. Some already rented vehicles just to come in the gospel meeting. Together with my fellow preachers (Jerome, Manny, Rogelio, David, Denis, Alex and July) we gave our time to do it under the heat of the sun. I personally went to those whom I know that also attended worship long before but never obeyed the gospel. I invited them again and hoping that they will heed the invitation and someday be like us.

August 11, in our Lord's day service here at Metro Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught about "Restoring the erring christian" and brother Jerome preached about "Does the Lord's house lie in ruins?"
At Palca, I also preached to them "Matthew 15" but in a way that I could use it as a sermon and to inspire the brethren and encourage them that whoever we are and whatever class we are in, Jesus never looks at us different from them. Others might receive material blessings but to us Christians, we are happy and content because of all the spiritual blessings that God is giving us.

Activities from July 21-August 4, 2013

July 21, in our Lord's day service here at Metro Tuguegarao, brother Jun preached to us in our bible study about "He who heeds God's counsel is wise" and in the sermon, brother Jerome preached "Responding to materialism".
In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them the lesson about "The Good Samaritan". I gave them every detail they need to know about this parable and the lessons we could get from this. And to sum it all, to answer the question "Who is our neighbor?".

July 24, my wife and I travelled to Manila about 7:15 in the evening. We arrived in Manila 6 in the morning.

July 25, my wife and I went to Commonwealth, Quezon City in Manila to visit my cousins. The reason why we went there is to share them the words of God. They are the Talay Family and very devoted Catholics. When I was in grade school and elementary, they are the once who are always inviting me to go to the mass. But now, I am returning back the favor and wanting to invite them to the true church. It is not a formal bible study but just simple talk about the gospel. I shared to them the bible tract that brother Rody made about "The True Church of Christ". They are a wealthy family because of many businesses and always busy with their work. After the discussions, I invited them to the church at Pasay, but they made excuses like they cannot just leave their work even on Sundays, because it is the day where many customers are coming. So sad to hear but I pray that someday they will realize the need for salvation and not just to gain material wealth.

June 26, another opportunity for  us to share the gospel. This time, we went to my cousins at Lagro. They are the Tuazon Family. They are members of the Jehovah's Witnesses and it is not easy to talk with them about spiritual matters especially if you are not one of them. But because they are my relatives, they accepted us and same way I did to our first visit, I shared to them the bible tract. I also invited them but again, excuses are made. They have assembly in their church. Sorry the pictures I have taken from our visit at Commonwealth and Lagro were corrupted maybe because my camera was wet when we went back to the church while it is raining.

July 27, our need to prepare in the church for the Lord's day. Brother Jay arrived early in the morning and help us in the work.

July 28, in our Lord's day service at Edsa-Pasay congregation, brother Jay taught in our bible study about "Are you reading?" (in the picture, his lesson was in our language "Nagbabasaka ba?"). In the sermon I preached to them about "Sum or Some". The text I use was in Psalm 116:160 wherein it says "the sum of your word is truth..." that is in NASB. Today, denominations and even individuals see and follow God's word as some because they only choose what they wanted to do and not the entirety of His word. Some wanted to have faith only and no works and some only see God's goodness and not His severity.

We traveled back to Tuguegarao in the evening and arrived early Monday morning.

July 30, I wanted to attend our preachers bible study but my body won't allow me. So instead, my wife brought me to the doctor for check-up. As a result, it was only a fatigue because of our travels. Thank God that it is not severe.

July 31, in our midweek service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun preached on "Matthew 14" about the death of John, the feeding of the 5000, Jesus walks on the sea and the faith of Genessaret.

August 3, I went to Palca to visit the brethren. I went to the house of brother Rogelio Fernandez who is a member since he was young but became unfaithful. With him are his relatives, Vanessa and Grace. I shared to them words of Jesus that would allow them to return to church.

August 4, in our Lord's day service here at Metro Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught "Exhortation and warnings of Paul" and in the sermon, brother Jerome preached "Remember God in the days of your youth". In our audience, we had a celebrity visitor and brother "Bryan Termulo". He is well know singer here in the Philippines and attended worship with us before leaving through plane going to Manila.
We extended the invitation also and we are happy that one new soul is added to the Lord's church. She is sister Divina who is attending with us for a month already and decided to obey the gospel.

In the afternoon at Palca, I preached to them about "Excuses". Because of my experiences in my trip to Manila, I decided to work on this lesson. We have many work to do but sometimes we cannot finish or even start it because of our excuses. Same with our spiritual obligations, we find excuses not to do it instead of working out our salvation. I am happy that Rogelio, Vanessa and Grace attended the worship and hope it will continue and someday the two ladies will surrender their lives to our Savior through obeying gospel.

Preaching activities for the month of July 2026

July 1 The elders of the Metro Tuguegarao congregation entrusted me with organizing a schedule to invite preachers from neighboring congrega...
