Activities from August 6-11

August 6, in our preachers' bible study, we heard a very encouraging lesson from brother Jerome wherein he preached about "Measure of a good preacher." This is really an encouraging one because it will push each one of us to work in the Lord's vineyard while it is day.

August 7, in our midweek service, I taught in our bible study on "Matthew 15". It is all about the tradition of the Jews against the Law of God, the faith of the Canaanite woman and the feeding of the 4,000. Jesus also showed in this chapter about his sympathy to those who are non-Jews.

August 9, we went to Palca to distribute invitations for our upcoming Gospel Meeting. With the invitations I also made two different bible tracts that we gave to the surrounding places. We actually went to four villages that includes Palca, Angang, Naruangan and Dagupan. The brethren in those places told us that they will join in the activity. Some already rented vehicles just to come in the gospel meeting. Together with my fellow preachers (Jerome, Manny, Rogelio, David, Denis, Alex and July) we gave our time to do it under the heat of the sun. I personally went to those whom I know that also attended worship long before but never obeyed the gospel. I invited them again and hoping that they will heed the invitation and someday be like us.

August 11, in our Lord's day service here at Metro Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught about "Restoring the erring christian" and brother Jerome preached about "Does the Lord's house lie in ruins?"
At Palca, I also preached to them "Matthew 15" but in a way that I could use it as a sermon and to inspire the brethren and encourage them that whoever we are and whatever class we are in, Jesus never looks at us different from them. Others might receive material blessings but to us Christians, we are happy and content because of all the spiritual blessings that God is giving us.
