December 6 (Midweek Service)
For our bible study in the first Wednesday of the month, we should have a guest preacher to speak to us. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to come. We cannot contact him or anything. And so I am the one who taught. I shared the lesson about the Samaritans. This is just my draft outline and wasn't able to finish it yet, and so I only shared the sections that are done. I speak on the Samaritan at the well and those who were baptised in Acts 8.
After the service, we brought my son to the hospital because his fever is not getting lower. He was diagnosed with Tonsillitis. We got back home after they gave him medicines.
December 9 (Gospel Meeting)
We were invited to the Gospel Meeting at Lattac Church where brother Jayson Tanguilan is preaching. I am one of their invited guest speakers. This is the first Gospel Meeting they have because it just started this year 2023. They also have their new building already and it is done. The chapel was full with guests from other nearby congregations also. Even outside, there are also listeners.
Here are the list of the speakers.
Invitation was extended but no one came in front. At the end of the meeting, discussions continue and one lady decided to obey the gospel. We baptized her in the near river.
December 10 (Sunday Worships)
In our bible study here at Tuguegarao, I shared to them Mark 15:1-47 about the trial of Jesus before Pilate and the crucifixion and death of Christ. In the sermon, brother Rody preached to us Matthew 28:11-15.
In the afternoon, at Palca, I also preached to them about the Samaritans, but this time it is all about the Ten things we can learn from the Ten lepers.
In Dagupan, brother Robert shared to them the lesson about Passover and Christmas.
December 10-13 (Hospital)
The fever of my son is still very high that's why we decided to bring him to the hospital. I still needed to go to Palca and Dagupan in the afternoon of the 10th to preach and so I just drop him and my wife to the hospital. My son was diagnosed at first with typhoid fever but then upon more evaluation, it was dengue fever. He stayed in the hospital Sunday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon. We thank God for helping us.
December 13 (Midweek service)
Upon arrival at home coming from the hospital, we went immediately to our bible study. We have a guest preacher who is brother Luis Nalog and he preached about "Christian Homes". We are already late when we got their that's why we didn't do the live streaming.
December 15 (Dagupan)
I went to visit sister Ligaya in Dagupan. She was the one who was recently baptized there. She got a high blood pressure that paralyses her right arm. Until now at the time of this writing, she still cannot more her right arm. May you please include her in your prayers.
December 16 (Palca)
I have a chance to visit sister Myrna Quines. She arrived coming from working abroad at Hongkong. We have good conversations about her work there and also the place where they worship. I also shared more encouraging passages in the bible regarding trusting God in all of His decisions/plans in our lives.
December 17 (Sunday Worship)
We moved our schedule in Dagupan in the morning because we had other activities after our worship. I preached about the "Mistakes of Naaman". I am happy to see our brethren who came back for holiday coming from their works in other towns. Sadly, it is just one week and they needed to go back to work again. After our worship, we had our year end thanksgiving. We do this every year to thank God for all His providence towards us. It is no longer part of the worship and we are doing it just like a birthday celebration. Even the funds used didn't come from our collection but only voluntary sharing of foods. We also have bible games activities.
In the afternoon, at Palca, brother Robert preached to us about "Kinds of Birth in the bible". Just like in Dagupan, some of our brethren also came home. Sadly, there are those who were not allowed by their employers to have a vacation. After the sermon, one young men came in front to confess his faith. He is just 17 years old and a schoolmate of Jhian and Henry. They are the once who are sharing him the gospel in their school. His name is Dave Amarille. I am seeing his interest in the work and wanted to follow what Jhian and Henry are doing. We will try our very best to teach him everything about the Lord's work. We also had a thanksgiving after the worship.
December 20 (Midweek Service)
In our bible study, we had brother Jay Gumpad teaching us. He preached about "Do we need to celebrate christmas?" After the study, invitation was again extended and one soldier obeyed the gospel. He is brother Reynold Anniban, a soldier in profession and a son-in-law of brother Luis Nalog.
December 22 (Thanksgiving Bible Study)
Sister Gerlie Domingo asked us if we can have a bible study in the day of his son's birthday as a way to thank God for giving him as a precious blessing. Actually, it is really not the exact day of his birthday because if will still be on the 25th, but it will already be difficult to invite relatives on that day. His son's name is Christian, 2 years old. We had the bible study at Palca. We have many guests who are non-christians. This is also a great way to share the truth to them. With me are brother Robert Rances, Jay Gumpad, and Jerome Forelo who shared God's word.
December 24 (Sunday Worship)
In our bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Flor Constantino, one of our elders shared to the the introduction to the book of Luke.
In the sermon, they just asked me early morning to preached to them. And so I decided to preached the lesson Ten lessons we can learn from the ten lepers. I prefer this lesson because during this holidays, we are all reminded to thank God for all the blessings He had given us throughout the year and we should always be grateful about it.
In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them about the "Mistakes of Naaman". I thought we will only be few because not only did the other brethren went to their works but there are also brethren who told me that they will have a vacation in Baguio and Ilocos that's why they asked me the locations of the churches there. We have guests who are relatives of the brethren that makes our attendance high.
In Dagupan, it is raining and so we had a hard time with our place to worship again. Our attendance is small. Brother Robert preached about "Religious but not righteous people".
December 26 (Hospital)
I went to visit Sister Gina Simangan in the hospital because she had a surgery on her
December 27 (Gospel Meeting)
We were invited to the Gospel Meeting at Masisit Church where brother Celso Jacobo is preaching. I am one of their invited guest speaker and I preached about "Learning from the mistakes of the past". The second speaker is brother Rody and he preached on the whole book of Matthew.
Invitation was extended and three precious souls obeyed the gospel.
In the evening, we had our midweek service. We arrived late coming from the gospel meeting but still heard most of the lesson. It was brother Boni Morales who preached and he shared the lesson "Be grateful".
December 28 (Bible study)
We should have a bible study at the house of brother George Paquing but unfortunately, he wasn't able to get back home. He cannot find any bus to ride on coming from San Mateo, Isabela. All buses and other transport vehicles are fully booked. Heavy traffic can be found anywhere and it is also hard to travel. I just helped in the work here in Tuguegarao for the things needed to prepare.
December 31 (Sunday Worships)
In our worship here at Tuguegarao, brother Rody preached on both our bible study and sermon. He discussed on the Introduction of Luke and Mark. After the worship, I immediately travelled to Palca because they have requested me if we can have the worship earlier. All families, including us are also preparing to the New Year's eve.
And in Dagupan, I preached the lesson about "Goals" which is like our New Year's resolution but pointing out on things we should always remember as christians and whatever the goal of Christ in our lives, that should also be our main goal.
