September 6 (Midweek Service)
For our bible study, we continue on the book of Matthew. Brother Rody shared to us Matthew 24.
September 7 (Burial Service)
We held a burial service in the wake of sister Leona Mangulad. She is a faithful sister who is always in attendance when she is well. Last February, the doctors already told the family that she will only have a week to live, but thanks to God, she still manage to live until August. I have posted about this in my previous report.
Brother Jerome, Jay and James are with me. Brother Jerome did the preaching while the three of us did the rest of the work.
September 10 (Sunday Worship)
The brethren at Dagupan requested that we will have our worship in the morning just for this Sunday and everyone agreed with it. The reason is that in the afternoon, there will be a meeting for the whole village regarding the effect of the typhoon and the help they will all be receiving. The brethren are really in need because of the hard effect of the typhoons in the previous week and months. What I did was, I also contacted the brethren at Palca and they said it is the same there.
We then scheduled the worship at both congregations in the morning. At 8:30 in the morning, we had our worship at Dagupan and 10:30 in Palca. Brother Robert was not with me during that time because the time of their worship at Lingu Church is also 8:30. I told the elders here at Tuguegarao for that schedule and they allowed me. I preached and did all the work at both congregations. The lesson I shared is entitled "Why are you here?".
September 13 (Midweek service)
The elders invited a preacher to teach in our bible study. They invited brother Victor Sinon from Tumauini, Isabela. He shared a great lesson about "What will you do if today is your last day on earth?".
September 14-16
I was held at home because all of us in my family got sick. We all have cough and flu, and my son and youngest daughter got fever.
September 17 (Sunday Worship)
I taught in our bible study here at Tuguegarao. I shared Mark 8:31-9:50 about the prediction of Jesus's death, trasnfiguration and healing of the possessed boy. In the sermon, brother Rody preached on Matthew 24:36-51.
In the afternoon at Palca, I preached to them the lesson on "Preparing for judgement". In our today's society, people are like in the times of Noah, they do not care about the coming judgment. They only think of their daily activities. We should always remind our brethren that in our everyday life, we should always be prepared for the coming judgment.
In Dagupan, brother Robert preached about the "Lust of the flesh, eyes and pride of life".
September 18 (Hospital Visit-Piat)
Sister Jayzel Agpuon called me early morning and she said that they brought her to the hospital in Piat because of stomach problems. I went to visit her and prayed or her. The result came the next day and they told her to bring to the hospital here in Tuguegarao because she have acute appendicitis and needed a surgery.
September 19 (Hospital Visit- Tuguegarao)
They already brought sister Jayzel in the public hospital here in Tuguegarao. Unfortunately, the line for surgery is very long and the facility cannot accomodate everyone. They just put her in a bed and she stayed in a walkway. There are many patients in this hospital because it is free. The only problem is that, you might end up dying because of the long line. Again, I led in our prayer.
September 20 (Midweek service)
In our bible study, brother Rody shared Matthew 25:1-13.
September 23 (Bible study)
Brother Lino Darauay, one of our elders here in Tuguegarao, invited us to his 70th birthday celebration. It is also the first birthday of his grandson. They asked us to go and have a bible study before starting with the celebration.
September 24 (Sunday Worship)
In our bible study, brother Flor shared to us Mark 10:1-16. And in the sermon, brother Rod preached Matthew 25:14-30.
In Palca, brother Robert also preached the lesson "Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life".
In Dagupan, I preached to them about "The rich young ruler". They have a lot of prayer request because many of our brethren got sick.
September 27 (Midweek service)
In our bible study, brother Rody shared Matthew 25:31-46.
September 28 (Hospital)
I went to visit again sister Jayzel Agpuon because she is already cleared to go home. I helped them go home because they do not have any vehicle to use. The ambulance are all in use during that time. When we arrived at their house, I led a prayer for sister Jayzel and also for her family.
September 29 (Dagupan)
I went to Dagupan for another visitation. I didn't find anyone in their houses because they are all in the field. What I did is to distribute tracts to anyone I see in the village.
October 1 (Sunday Worship)
In our bible study, brother Flor shared Mark 10:17:52 and in the sermon, brother Rody preached Matthew 26:1-16.
In Dagupan, I preached to them about "Parking violation". I got the outline from brother Keith Greer. It is talking about how we usually get a parking ticket and how it is the same with when we have violations against God.
