Preaching activities from July 7 - August 6

July 7 (Sunday Worship)

For our bible study here in Tuguegarao, one of our elders taught to us. Brother Flor shared Mark 3:7-3:19.

In the sermon, I was asked to preached again. I shared the lesson "Can one be saved through prayer?". Many of the denominations believe this doctrine and some of them are even asking questions on our tv program here in Tuguegarao.

In the afternoon, at Palca, brother Robert preached "Do you want to be saved?". I did all the other works to complete our worship.

In Dagupan, I also preached to them the same lesson about "Can one be saved through prayers?".

July 10 (Dagupan)

I needed to do the visitation earlier because we will have a trip to Pagudpud on July 13-15. I visited brother Prederito and sister Denicia Castro. Sometimes, only one of them attends worship because the other one goes to work. They are are family who only gets $12 from their work a day and if one of them will not work, it will just be $6. They have two kids and one of them already goes to school. I understand their situation but I still reminded them of the words of God regarding trusting Him in all aspects of our lives because He is the only one who can make the impossible to possible to anyone.

July 11 (Palca)

I went to visit sister Diday Quines because she is sick again. She had a highblood pressure the last Sunday that's why she is not with us in the worship. Thankfully, God healed her quickly. She is already 65 years old but still wanted to work in the field to sustain their living.

July 12 (Midweek service)

For our bible study, we invited brother Manny Pader. The elders made me in charge of inviting preachers every Wednesday until brother Rody comes back to the Philippines. Brother Manny preached about  "Five Truths that many do not want to think about".

July 16

In our bible study, the scheduled teacher should be brother Zach Bangi but because she was not around during the time of our study, I took over, we continued with the book of Mark and we are in chapter 3:20-35. Brother Zach arrived during the sermon. And so I just him about this after worship because the elders left early. He said he is still not ready to stand in front. He is just a teenager and I understand that. The next Sunday, I announced that, if those on schedule cannot do the teaching, they can just message me earlier so that I can prepare also.

In the sermon, brother Flor Costantino preached about "Answering religious errors". He showed several doctrines by the denominations and we studied every answer that we should give to them.

In Palca, I asked brother Henry Tabangcura to preach. He shared the lesson "Prepare Yourself". He is one of the two young man I am training to become a preacher. The other one is Jhian Puselero and they are both from Dagupan. Brother Robert Rances is also inviting them already in his congregation at Lingu to preach once every month. I wanted them to train more as long as I am here to guide them. With the Lord's help, I want them to continue preaching even if they are still studying until they get a job.

In Dagupan, I preached to them the lesson "Go a second mile". We should always extend the work while we are still here on earth especially when it comes to the gospel preaching.

July 18 (Dagupan)

I went to visit sister Jesusa and her granddaughter Angel Simangan. I haven't seen them for a while in our services so I thought of having a quick visit to them. Thankfully, they are at home. Just like the others, sister Jesusa needs to go to work on the field while Angel is left at home taking care of her younger sister. I shared to them the words of God and thankfully, the next Sunday, both of them are already in the worship including the younger one.

July 19 (Midweek Service)

Our next invited preacher is brother Jun Antonio. He is the local preacher of Catarauan Church and Nabialan Church. Nabialan is a congregation that stopped for a long time because the preacher left them and now brother Jun revived it. They now have a beautiful place of worship unlike before that they are only in a tent. He shared in our bible study the lesson "What is our best goal in our life?".

July 20 (Bible Study)

Together with brother Jerome Forelo and brother Dennis Yuson, we were invited by brother Gerald Tango to have a bible study in their house. The reason is, they wanted to give thanks to God for giving him the ability and knowledge to finished his schooling. He graduated as cumlaude and wanted to give back to God. Many of his neighbors and family are with us. Brother Dennis led our singing, and me in the prayer. Brother Jerome was the one who shared a message from the bible.

July 24 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Paul John Panopio shared to us Mark 4:1-34. This is his second time teaching in our bible study. He is a tricyle driver (I will attached a picture here but it is not him). We will continue to help the men in the congregation stand in front by guiding them not just when they study but also when they are already speaking in front to boost them.

In the sermon, I also preached the same lesson about "Go a second mile". Our attendance went below 100 because many are again sick and some went for vacation.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I also preached the same lesson. There are a few of our brethren who worked in other town came back for a week vacation and so they made a point that they will be worshipping with us before going back.

In Dagupan, brother Robert Rances preached about "Do you want to be saved?"

July 26 (Midweek service)

We invited brother Boni Morales, who is a preacher at Bangan Church together with brother Robert Pader. He shared to us the lesson on "Ecc 1:2-3 cycle of life". We have been hit by a typhoon Tuesday until Wednesday and so our attendance during the midweek service is only 11.

July 26-29 hospital

Just after our midweek service, our youngest daughter who is sick since Sunday cannot in take any food and keeps vomiting and so we decided to bring her to the hospital. Her fever even peak at 39.9 degrees Celsius and also have the asthma. Thankfully, with all of God's help, she is now feeling better. We just noticed changes in her attitude. Since having the blood test, she is already afraid of anyone whom she doesn't know. It seems she got a trauma with what happened. We brought her to school for her assessment in kinder, but when she sees the teacher, she  ran away. Until now, August 9, she still didn't finished the assessment. Everytime we bring her to school, that's what happens. Please continue to pray for her.

July 30 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun Guimiram started the lesson on Mark 4:35-5:43. He came late because they encounter a flat tire on their way to church.

In the sermon, we invited brother Dennis Yuson. He is the preacher at Wagud Church and Aquib Church. He preached the lesson "How to live a faithfully as servant of Christ?". He did a great job in edifying us.

In Palca, I asked brother Jhian to preached to us. He shared the lesson about "Humility".

In Dagupan, I preached the lesson "How Christians can be like a watch?". I still feel very tired from all the things we did in the hospital but I didn't feel anything during the time I am preaching. It seems like my vitamin is the word of God.

July 31 (Palca)

I scheduled a visitation earlier of the week again because we will be traveling to Ilocos region on Thursday-Saturday. I went to visit sister Noemi Belen. I didn't found her in their house but they told me he is in the town hall. I went to look for her and as soon as I arrived, I saw her preparing to go out to work outside. She is a street sweeper and they are the once cleaning the surroundings in the town hall. I really intended to look for her because I haven't seen her for a long time in our worships. Her reason is that, they wouldn't allow them to take a leave even on Sundays. I gladly encourage her using God's word and prayed. The next Sunday, he is already with us. He took an absent at work.

August 1 (Dagupan)

I went to visit brother Vedasto and sister Alma Castro. They are just new in the church. They have been members of a pentecostal group before. They have knowledge of the bible because of their previous religion and so we had a question and answer about it, especially about tithes and the holy spirit.

August 2 (Midweek service)

In our bible study, we have brother Lance Panopio as our teacher. I am the one who push to have him teach. He is one of my students in the teenagers class, but we stopped for the meantime since brother Rody went to the US because they wanted me to be guiding in the bible studies since I am the only preacher left. The outline that brother Lance used is from me and I told him to study and teach that. He did a great job for a first timer. Maybe one of this days, if he is free, I will also bring him to Palca and Dagupan, Lord willing.

August 6 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Jun Gumuiran continued with the lesson on Mark 6:1-13.

In the sermon, I preached to them about "Excuses". I have shared the most common excuses of people that they might say when Jesus comes back like "I didn't know that". No one is excuse from not knowing the gospel. Everyone is commanded to search the scripture whether you are from the caves, mountains or from remote areas. We will all appear on the judgment seat of Christ.

In Palca, I told brother Robert that I will take care of the preaching for both Palca and Dagupan. And so for this day, I preached in 3 different congregations. I also preached the same lesson at Palca and Dagupan to make it easier for me.

After the worship at Dagupan, we went to have a service also at the wake of brother Recto Castro. He had a coma last Tuesday because of high blood pressure and died Wednesday morning. He died in Manila that's why they need to travel him to Dagupan Friday night. We are expecting the body to be there already, unluckily, the vehicle they used got problem. Many people are already gathered in their place and so we still continued with the service, Brother Robert Rances was the one who preached and I did the prayer.
