Preaching Activities from November 3 to December 5, 2021

November 3 (Midweek service)

We continue to study the book of proverbs in our midweek service that brother Rody is sharing. I am the one in charge as always with our live streaming and recording. We now have a tv program that is aired every Thursday and Friday. I am forwarding every detail to the station for it to be viewed by the entire city.

November 7 (Sunday Worship)

In our first Sunday of the month worship here in Tuguegarao, our attendance is slowly getting back to normal. The alert level in our area is already down that only those who are below 12 are no longer allowed to go out. Some of the brethren are still afraid to go out that's why they prefer to watch the worship on facebook.

In the afternoon, at Palca, our attendance is down because many are sick. Even before the worship starts, some brethren already told me that they cannot come because of illness. It is already cold in our area and we are not used to this kind of weather. Even my kids are already having asthma because of the weather. I preached to them about "Where you stand depends on where you sit".

In Dagupan, we have a better attendance. I also preached the same lesson to them. We have again new visitors and they are asking bibles. Hope and pray that we can provide one for them.

November 10 (Midweek service)

Our study on the book of Proverbs continuous. Little by little, our attendance is growing. We usually have an average attendance of 40 every Wednesday but 120 on Sundays. Many cannot come during night time because of transportation problems.

November 14 (Sunday Worships)

We also study book of Proverbs on Sundays here in Tuguegarao. We are hoping to finished it until January. It is good to learn about the wisdom shared by King Solomon.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them about "Abraham's surrender". Many are still sick. Most of the brethren here are above 50 and even our song leader cannot join us because of kidney problems. My wife also didn't come because she is sick.

In Dagupan, I shared to them "Genesis 1". They wanted me to share the chapter because they wanted to be clear on what they are studying in school especially about the false teaching of science.

November 17 (Midweek service)

Our study went very well again. We are now back to normal. There are even additions in our attendance. Those who are not coming before the pandemic are already joining us.

November 18 (Gospel Meeting)

We travelled to the town of Barucboc, Quezon to preaches in the congregation in the area. Brother Edgar Lingbawan is their local preacher. They do not have any chapel yet that's why we met again under a tamarind tree. I am the first speaker of the activity and I shared about the "True Church of Christ" then followed by brother Rody who preached "Entering the church". After the sermon, three precious souls confessed their faith and was baptized in the near pool.

November 21 (Sunday worship)

Our worship here at Tuguegarao is very edifying once again. As we study the book of proverbs, we learn a lot of the things we needed to fix in our lives. Even after our worship, I tried to study it more because it interests me to share it also to our brethren at Palca and Dagupan in the next months.

In the afternoon at Palca, I am happy to see our brethren who are sick that are now with us. We have a good attendance. I shared to them about "Lot's Wife".

In Dagupan, we also have a good attendance with additional visitors. I also preached the same lesson.

November 24 (Midweek service)

We are now on the Proverbs 17. Brother Rody did a great job again sharing the proverb.

November 26 (Gospel Meeting)

I am again invited to be one of the speakers in a Gospel Meeting. This time, it is in Alibago Church where brother Rody is preaching. Brother Willie Pastor preached first and he shared about "The Church" followed by brother Jerome who shared "Spiritual Pollution" and I preached as the last speaker with the lesson "Lot's wife". After the preaching, one precious soul confessed his faith. Mr. Marlon Perocho who is just living beside the church building finally decided to obey the gospel. It's been many years that they are sharing him the gospel and this time, he finally obeyed it. We brought him in the river here in Tuguegarao. It was very dark in the area and muddy but we still baptized him with the help of brother Jimmy Duque.

November 28 (Sunday Worship)

In our worship here at Tuguegarao, we studied Proverbs 17:6-15.  Our attendance is about a 100. The brethren are already coming and I am hoping that until the end of the year, we can already be in our normal number in attendance.

In Palca we again have a great number of attendance. I preached to them about "Mistakes of Naaman". There are still brethren who are saying they are sick.

In Dagupan, I preached also the same lesson. Many seats are empty this time because most of the young people are in the health center getting their vaccines.

November 30 (Gospel Meeting)

We went to a mountainous area in the Apayao Region to share again the wonderful message of our Lord. It is the congregation of brother Alex Genilba at Karikitan Church. It is almost 3 years that I haven't gone to their congregation and I am happy to see that they already have a chapel. I am again asked to be the first speaker and I preached about "What heaven is like?" then followed by brother Rody who preached "The needs of the glorious church". No baptism in the meeting but everyone are happy and edified by our presence and the message they heard. It was raining hard when we finished and the highway is about 500m away.  We got very wet when we arrived in the car.

December 2 (Gospel Meeting)

We traveled again for about 3 hours to reached another congregation. Brother Alex Lagat invited us to preached in the two congregations he is preaching. In the morning, we were at Capadeco Church where most of the brethren are the natives or what we called Aetas. They live in a six foot houses with just dirt as their bird. Unlike before, they live in houses made of leaves. We are happy to share simple gifts for their daily needs and especially for them to understand what the Lord wants. After the preaching, 6 precious young souls obeyed the gospel. We baptized them in a clean canal nearby.

In the afternoon, we went to Limbus Church. I still remember that this is the last place we visited before the lockdown of the entire country last year. It is very edifying to see that the time we visited them last year, it is just the start of the sharing to them, and now they have already grown in number. They also have a land to build their chapel already. Preaching was done and three precious souls where baptized. It should be four but the young lady seems not sure yet of what she is doing.

December 3 (Gospel Meeting)

We also scheduled a Gospel Meeting at Palca Church and we invited three speakers, brother Jay Gumpad, brother Jerome Forelo and brother Rody Gumpad. Brother Jay shared about "Pinnochio Christian" then followed by brother Jerome who shared about "Unity in Truth" and finally brother Rody preached about "Unity". The chapel was full that we needed to put chairs outside. Brethren from Dagupan also came to join us. No baptism but I am happy to see our two visitors who always join us in our activities. I am praying that in the next days, they will also obey the gospel.

December 5 (Sunday Worship)

Our first worship of the month of December here in Tuguegarao is again a wonderful blessing from the Lord. Our attendance is already back to the normal of 110. We continue with our study on the book of Proverbs.

In the afternoon at Palca, I shared to them the lesson about "The Pharisee and the Publican". After the worship, I talked to one of our visitor. For a little time, I explained to her the importance of being in the Lord's church.

In Dagupan I also preached the same lesson, many of our brethren are already wearing jackets because it's very cold and we are only having the worship outside of the house of brother Enzo.

Preaching Activities from September 23 - November 1, 2021

September 23 (Burial Service)

Together with brother Dennis Yuson, we went to Mungo, Tuao to have a service in the burial of our sister Pacita Quines, a faithful member of the Lord's church at Palca. The wake was placed there because her sibling requested to do so. Sister Pacita is 92 years old. She is always in attendance in all our worships and other services. Even though there are restrictions during the pandemic, when we have worships, she never fails to attend.

September 26 (Sunday Worship)

In the morning, we have our worship here at Metro Tuguegarao Church. The city already allowed church gatherings that's why most of our brethren came.

After 8 weeks, I can also go to Palca and Dagupan church again to preach. In Palca, we have many brethren who are sick that's why we are only 22 in attendance. In Dagupan, we are about 34, there are also brethren who didn't came because of sickness.

September 27-October 17

Monday (Sept. 27) when I started to feel some symptoms of covid so I started to quarantine at home. My sister-in-law who is a doctor told me to have an antigen test at the hospital and so I did. It came out positive that's why we are asked to have the swab test. To shorten the story, me, my son and my eldest daughter tested positive. We were brought to the quarantine facility and stayed there until the 17th. Thankfully, only mild symptoms and we are never brought to the hospital. We thank God and those who helped us for our recovery.

October 20 (Midweek service)

After our quarantine, we are happy to be with the brethren again. We attended our midweek service here at Tuguegarao and by God's grace, I can help again in the work.

October 24 (Sunday worship)

Our first Sunday worship after the quarantine. It is like having a new life once again. I feel the excitement and joy attending the worship. It is not the same when just watching it on facebook. We have a good attendance of more than 60 here in Tuguegarao.

In the afternoon, at Palca, some of the brethren are also in quarantine because there is also a covid outbreak during the time I was not there. Our attendance is only 24. I preached about "Knowing our purpose".

In Dagupan, our attendance is 42. We have many visitors also in attendance. After the sermon, we extended the gospel invitation and two young ladies confessed their faith and were baptized into Christ. They are Jane Casballedo and Cristine Castro. During my time in quarantine, I've been in contact with them. I am sharing them the words of God even just in the chat box. Thankfully, the seed that was planted in their hearts grew. I am happy with our teenagers in Dagupan because they are very much interested in helping in the work. I needed not to tell them what to do or prepare in our worships, they voluntarily do everything. They are also the once inviting their friends to come and join us.

October 27 (Midweek service)

I am again in charge of making our activities go live on facebook. This time, we are also televised in our local tv station. It means that even those who do no have access on the internet but have cables can already join us in our bible studies and worships. We continue to study the book of Proverbs with brother Rody.

October 28 (Bible study)

Together with brother Rody Gumpad and brother Robert Rances, we talked about having bible studies in our congregations. We decided that we will start in Dagupan. When we schedule Palca and Dagupan, he will be the one to preach but when we go to his congregation at Alibago, I will be the one to teach. We are praying that this will continue and that there will be no more lockdowns. There will be other places we will visit like in Barucboc Church and Minagbag Church.

Brother Rody shared the lesson for us. After the worship, we visited a lot that the cousin of brother Enzo is selling. We've been in search for a lot that we can build the chapel for so long because the number of brethren in Dagupan is already growing. In our record, we are already 63 and when we are all in attendance, the place where we worship will be full. We are praying that we can buy a lot and build the church building already.

October 31 (Sunday worships)

In our worship at Tuguegarao, we again went down on attendance to below 50 because one of our elders, brother Flor Constantino and his family are again infected with covid. This is already the second time. Thankfully, we can still do the worship. Brother Rody continued with the series on Proverbs.

In the afternoon, I invited again brother Rody because we will also talk to the owner of the land in Dagupan. He preached both in Palca and Dagupan while I do all the other works.

After the sermon in Dagupan, we are again very happy because during the invitation, four precious souls confessed their faith. We brought them in Palca to be baptized. They are Virginia Maners (68 years old), Marife Casballedo (16 years old), Jahnine Tumanguil (15 years old) and Terrence Tumanguil (14 years old).

November 1 (Thanksgiving Bible Study)

We went to Alibago for a thanksgiving bible study. Brother Victor and sister Jonalyn Soriano, members of the church in Palca are staying for the mean time at their parents house and decided to have the service there in Enrile. The purpose of this is for them thanking God for giving them a baby and now celebrating her first birthday. Brother Robert led the singing, I led the prayer and brother Rody with the sermon. Most of the audience are their friends and are non-christians. This is a good way to share the gospel.

Preaching activities from October 1 - November 3, 2024

October 1 (Burial Service) We went to Alibago to have the final service in the wake of sister Lorna Tuddao. It was brother Rody who shared a...
