I attended a Gospel Meeting at Lanna, Solana with my son. There are two invitations on this day, the other one is in Babalag, Rizal but I decided to just go to Lanna because it is nearer and I needed to go back home at noon for the reason that I will be bringing my daughter and wife to the doctor.

September 16 (Sunday worship at Tuguegarao and Palca)

This was the time when the typhoon came the day before worship. Early morning of Sunday, I was outside the church building where I cleaned all the leaves that the typhoon brought. We do not have any electricity during that time. We started the worship at around 10 a.m. already and brother Jerome preached about “In difficult times, don’t just survive-thrive”.

In the afternoon, I went to Palca. The original plan is that, I will travel to Manila with other preachers and brother Robert Rances will be the one going to Palca. But because of the typhoon, we decided to change our schedule. I still went to Palca and wanted to see the condition of our brethren there. During our worship, I preached to them about “Power of faith in God”. I preached the lesson showing that even though we suffer, we are tempted, we are in trouble, if we have faith in God, we will always win the battle.

Together with my wife, we went around the village and checked the houses of our brethren. Almost all of them have minor damages but two houses (sister Paulina and Linda’s) were heavily damage. They also do not have electricity because many wires were cut.

September 17 (Travel to Manila)

Together with brother Jimmy Duque, Ronald Valdez, Jay Gumpad, sister Mercy Panopio and I traveled to Manila to be with other preachers to attend the lecture at Pasay where brother Harry Osborne will be teaching. We traveled at around 10a.m. and arrived at Manila 10:30 p.m.

September 18-19 (Lectureship at Pasay Church)

Brother Harry Osborne discussed to us “Learning to use the bible”. The main point of the discussion is for us preachers to learn more on what we are studying and be effective in preaching.

We attended the wedding of brother Carl Jack Domingo, the son of a faithful preacher in La Union, brother Carlos Domingo and sibling of brother Denver Domingo who is also a faithful preacher. After the wedding, we needed to travel back to Tuguegarao to prepare for Sunday. We left La Union at around 6pm. And arrived at Tuguegarao 3:30 a.m.

September 23 (Sunday worship at Tuguegarao)

Brother Rody discussed the last part of Lesson 6 in our booklet and he preached in the sermon “Christian’s growing in Christ’s will”.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them about “Housetops”. The things that we can learn from the bible that happened in the housetop like when four friends brought their sick friend to Jesus in the top of the house. Jesus also told His disciples to preach in the housetop.
