Preaching Activities from October 18 - November 6, 2017

October 18 (Midweek Bible Study at Tuguegarao)

I discussed in our bible study “1 Timothy 5” which gives us the directions Paul gave Timothy concerning reproofs, widows, elders and church discipline.

October 22 (Sunday Worship at Tuguegarao and Palca)

In the morning, I taught in our bible study here in Tuguegarao “James 2:14-26” regarding faith and works. In the sermon, brother Jay preached “Why and How should we prepare for worship?”.

In the afternoon, I preached the same lesson to them at Palca on James 2:14-26.

October 25 (Midweek bible study at Tuguegarao)

Brother Jay shared to us what we can learn from 1 Timothy 6.

October 28 (Gospel Meeting at Pussian, Alcala)

We were invited to go to the Gospel Meeting at Pussian where brother Fernando Duque and Joeben Jacobo are helping together to be their preacher. I am the first speaker and I preached about “Consequences of Unbelief” and brother Jerome preached “God is trying to tell us something”. We extended the invitation but got no response from the visitors.

October 29 (Sunday Service at Tuguegarao and Palca)

In our bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Jay taught “Nearsighted” and in the sermon, brother Jerome preached “God is trying to tell us something”.

In the afternoon, I preached in Palca “Limited Edition” sharing to them the things that are just limited for us which is life, time to worship God and to repent of our sins.

November 1 (Gospel Preaching at Cacbungao, Luttuacan, Apayao and Midweek service at Tuguegarao)

We went to Cacbungao, Cabugao, Apayao where brother Samuel Bucao invited us since last week expecting that the weather will be sunny. Tuesday, the whole day, it was very hot, but Wednesday morning, it started to rain. We cannot cancel the preaching because the brethren there are already waiting for us. We still went to the place even though we know it is hard to travel going there and also for the places where we need to walk and the river that we needed to cross. With God’s help, all went well even with the continuous rain.

In the bible study, brother Joeben Jacobo, Jerome Forelo and Jimmy Duque preached. While the rest of us (Robert Pader, Rogelio Esperanza, Alex Genilba, Daniel Pasaraba, Fernando Duque and I) led the singing and prayers. We extended the invitation and one young men came in front to confess his faith. We baptized him in the river that we crossed. In our way back home, the road are much more difficult to pass because of landslides but still with God’s help, we arrived home safely.

In the evening, I preached in our midweek service here in Tuguegarao. I preached on 2 Timothy 1. There are only a few attendance of about 15 because it is raining heavily also.

November 4 (Gospel Preaching at Karikitan, Apayao)

We went to Karikitan, Apayao to have a bible study. It is raining and so it is hard to travel. When we arrived in the highway of Karikitan, we needed to walk just about 500 meters to reach the meeting place. They still do not have a chapel and they only meet in one of the houses of the brethren. I am with brothers Joeben Jacobo, Jerome Forelo, Daniel Pasaraba, Robert Pader, Rogelio Esperanza, Jun Antonio, Jayson Tanguilan, Manny Pader and Alex Genilba.

November 5 (Sunday Worship at Tuguegarao and Palca)

In our bible study, I taught about “Taming the tongue” and brother Jerome preached “What is happening to my faith?” We only have 75 attendance here in Tuguegarao, and it is because of the rain again. Some of the places where our brethren live are already flooded that's why they cannot come. I taught in the bible study "About taming the tongue" and brother Jerome preached in the sermon "How is your faith".

In the afternoon, at Palca, I also preached the same lesson on “Taming the Tongue” we also have just a few attendance of 15. It is hard for the brethren to walk going to the church because we cannot even see the road already due to the heaviness of the rain.

November 6 (Funeral Service at Villa Salud)

Brother David inviting me and brother Jerome to have a service in the wake of their grandmother who pass away last week. His grandmother is sister Maria Malupeng, a faithful sister in Villa Salud where brother Rolando Agpoon is preaching. Brother David led the singing and I led our opening prayer. Brother Jerome preached about the Facts of life and brother Jason led our closing song and prayer.
