December 22, in our
Lord’s day service here at Metro Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about “Errors of Denomination: There is no God” and in the sermon,
brother Jay preached about “The Kingdom of God”.
In the
afternoon at Palca, I preached to them about the “Not’s in the
Devil’s Tale”. The Devil is teaching us that “There is NOT a God”, “You
will not surely die if you sin”, “The Church is not important” and “There is
not a plan of salvation”. Those are the lies that the devil is trying to put in
everyone’s mind so that he will take their souls with him in hell. But the
bible warns us to be aware of his lies and deceptions and submit to God’s truth
(James 4:7).
In the
evening, my wife, two kids and I traveled to Manila to work in Edsa-Pasay
Congregation. We were there for a week with a lot of work to be done.
December 23, in Manila, we went to Luneta Park. A famous
landmark here in the Philippines where the National Hero’s biggest statue is
built. Together with the preachers from the different areas in Manila together
with their wives and kids, we had a bible lectureship at the same time to meet
each other for the whole day. It is my first time to see every one of them and
we are very happy that even though we are from miles away, we can see each
other because of the Lord’s church.
The first
speaker was brother Allan wherein he
preached about “Man and his treasures”
and the last speaker was brother Rupert
who also preached about “Respect”. I
can see the difference in the way they teach and I wanted to learn from them
but still the same that all is taken from the bible. After the lessons
discussed, we had the chance to talked to each other and share our experiences
regarding the work we are doing. I can learn from their experiences while they
are also encourage with the kind of work we are doing here in Cagayan.
December 24-28,
while we are staying in Manila, a lot of preparations are needed to be done because
we are already staying in a newly rented room. A lot wider and more space for
everyone who attends.
December 29, in our
Lord’s day service at Edsa-Pasay Congregation, many brethren went home from
there towns because it is the only time they can due to the holiday. We have a
total attendance of only 30. The 8 boys who are always helping me when I am
there also went home so I needed to work alone from the start to finish with a
little help from brother Teddy boy. I
preached about “The Facts of Life” that includes “Life is Brief”, “Death is
certain”, “Judgment is Sure”, “Eternity is long” and “Preparation is Necessary”.
December 31, in our
preachers’ bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Rody preached about “Things
that can destroy faith”.
In the
evening, together with the whole family, we had a thanksgiving here at the
house of brother Rody and we read the scriptures and together we prayed and
thank God for the whole year that He guided and blessed all of us.
January 1, in our
midweek service, brother Rody
preached about “Judgment is coming”.
January 2, we were invited
in a thanksgiving at Centro Babalag, Rizal for the first birthday of the son of brother Jonathan Tango.
January 4, I went to
visit the brethren at Palca especially sister Valentina who continuously unable to attend the services because
she is suffering from pneumonia. We prayed together in her house together with
the brethren who came with me.
January 5, in our Lord’s
Day service here at Tuguegarao, brother Rody
preached about “I am resolved”. We
have many visitors including the Vice Mayor of our city. He is happy to hear
about the lesson preached and said that he is willing to come back in another
time to join us in worship. He is a member of the Baptist church. We extended the invitation and we are happy that four souls went in front to confess their faith and one of them is the daughter of brother Jerome. After the service, we had our thanksgiving as
part of our celebration of our anniversary that the church here in Tuguegarao
started.
In the
afternoon, at Palca, brother Jay
came with me and he preached about “Do
we inherit sin?” And after the service, we also had our thanksgiving to the
Lord for the whole year that the church there is continually growing
spiritually and stronger than before. We also had bible games like a quiz where I will ask a question and whoever answers first gets the price. This was only done after the service because it is not part of the worship anymore.

and second was “666- the mark of the
beast”.

midweek service, I taught in our bible
study about “Mark chapter 3”. I discussed in that chapter about “Jesus
heals a man’s hand on Sabbath”, “Jesus teaching by the lake”, “The twelve
apostles”, “Jesus and Beelzebub” and “Family of Jesus”.
January 11, I went to
visit the brethren at Palca but
failed to find anyone of them. Almost all the people at Palca are on the field
and starting to plant their crops ready for the next season.
January 12, in our Lord’s
Day service brother Jun taught in
our bible study about the error “If I’m
sincere and follow my conscience, God will save me” and in the sermon,
brother Jay preached about “The Body of Christ”.
In the
afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them about “In God we trust”.
Part of the lesson are the questions, “In whom do you trust to save you?”, “In
whom do you trust to teach you?” and “In whom or what to do you trust to define
you?”
January 14, in our
preachers’ bible study, brother Robert
preached about “Resurrection”.
January 15, in our
midweek service, brother Jay taught
on “Mark chapter 4”.
January 16, a thanksgiving was held here in
Tuguegarao for brother Paul John’s son. Brother Jun preached about “Thanksgiving”.
January 19, in our
Lord’s day service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about the error “We are headed to the same place, just going different ways”, and
in the sermon I preached about “The
Temple of God”.
In the
afternoon, I preached the same lesson at
Palca about “The Temple of God”.
