Activities from April 3-21

April 3, in our midweek service, we studied "Proverbs 31" that brother July Aguinaldo shared to us. This is the last verse for the book of proverbs and for about 2 years, we finished everything and for myself, I learned many sayings from the wisest king of Israel that I can apply in my daily lives.

April 6, we were invited on a thanksgiving here in Tuguegarao for the baby of sister Marisol Bangi. Brother Jerome shared a wonderful lesson from the bible to tell to everyone that the kids are the most wonderful blessing that came from God to a family.

April 7, in our Lord's day service here in Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about "Price for Stew" that he got from the Hebrew 12:14-17, the story of Jacob and Esau. In the sermon, brother Jerome preached about "Making wise choices".

In the afternoon at Palca, I preached to them about "The Right Way that we should follow". We should know who the right God to be serve and the teachings that is according to His divine will.

April 9, in our preachers bible study, brother Manny shared to us the lesson we can learn on "Acts 26".

April 10, in our midweek service, I shared to the congregation about the topic "Men Not Needed in the Church". The attitudes of some of my examples like David, Diotrephes, Demas, Cain, Joseph's brothers, Judas and Simon the sorcerer. I am not the one scheduled to preach but because the assigned was not around and only brother Efren and me are the man in the congregation, we decided that I will be teaching. The other man are out from a preaching in other place. This lesson that I taught was the one I am preparing to teach also in Manila.

April 12 , I was invited to go to Amulung for the distribution of bible tracts and also bible study. Brother Jimmy Duque, the local preacher there asked me to make bible tracts for us to distribute. We started in the village of Dugayong, Amulung wherein we also had a bible study just below a mango tree with the audience all non-christian aside from us preachers. They are relatives of brother Jimmy and he wanted to share to them the truth and hopefully accept and obey it. Before noon, we went back to the

ir house and had lunch but I left them because I still need to prepare for my trip to Manila with my family and brother Jun.
We travelled at about 7 in the evening by bus and arrived safely in Manila at 6AM..

This were my kids during our trip in going to Manila.
April 13 , we had preparations in the church building at EDSA-PASAY where the church meet. I prepared my PowerPoint presentation and also we cleaned the whole meeting place.

April 14, in our Lord's day service in Manila(EDSA-PASAY), I preached again the lesson "Men Not Needed In the Church". As you can see in the pictures below, the title shown above is "Three Reason Why we are living" and that is a mistake from me. I tried to copy the background of my previous lesson with the animations on it but forgot to change the title above. I explained it to them and so we continued onward and I am happy for the good reactions of the brethren. In the sermon, brother Jun preached to us about "They Mocked Salvation". Those people are trying to mock salvation like those in the days of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah.

After the service, a lady went to us and decided that she wanted to be baptized. Because we are not familiar with all the members in the congregation(we are only coming to Manila once a month), we didn't notice that we have a visitor. She is from Paranaque, a long trip just to worship with us and her name is Elaine Darasin. We baptized her in a kiddie pool that they are using in baptizing here because the river, swimming pool are very far from the church bulding.

April 15 , we travelled back to Tuguegarao and arrived safely Tuesday morning. My kids are both having their asthma when we arrived that's why, I didn't attend our preachers bible study.

April 17, in our midweek service, brother Rody preached to us about "The Begging's of the Bible". There are a lot of begging's in the bible but he only shared to us three divisions. I cannot find my copy of the lesson where I have written everything but I remember that one of the division is the begging's of Christ about preaching or sharing the gospel.

April 20, we went to the wedding at Dagupan, Tuao wherein brother Rody solemnize our brother Joey and Elaine Posolero. They are faithful member of the Lord's church in that area where brother Macky Miguel is preaching. The place is just near Palca where I am preaching and so I know them well because when we have gospel Meetings at Palca, they are also attending.

April 21, in our Lord's day service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about "Teaching of False Teachers about Marriage". The Marriage-Divorce-Remarriage doctrine of other denominations. In the  sermon, brother Rody preached to us about "Things that can destroy faith" that already includes worldly things, temptations, lack of faith, and etc.
In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them about "Wise Investing: Christians and wealth". I got the lesson from the book of Matthew 6 19-24 wherein Jesus is teaching in the sermon on the mount about the treasures that we should have and the master that we should follow.

Activities from March 27 to April 2

March 26, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Ben Vistro discussed to us Acts 24, then followed by brother Warner Macusi who taught “Tabernacle, Temple and Church”. He showed to us what are the uses of this three and how we can compare each of them.

March 27, I was invited to go in Lubo, Sto. Nino to distribute bible tracts. We again ride the bought in going to the other side of the river to reach the place. We started distributing at 9 in the morning and the weather was very hot. We needed to stop once in a while and shade under a tree to rest because the heat makes us weaker as we continue to move forward but we still successfully reached many houses and gave tracts. We are happy because many people had good responses when we handed them the tracts.

In the evening, we had our midweek service here at Tuguegarao. Brother Florendo Respicio shared to us “Proverbs 30”.

March 30, I was invited again to go to Maddarulug, Solona for another tracts distribution. Brother Manny asked me to make bible tracts in Ilocano (our language). There are only few people that we can see on the streets and houses because this day is considered as Holy Day for the Catholics as they celebrate Easter. We still handed bible tracts to those whom we see and after distributing, we had a prayer in the house of one of the member in that place.

In the afternoon, I invited the same group to Palca for another Home Bible Study. We were are sister Remy Andrada’s house. She is the only Christian in their family and I am happy that her husband and two daughters are there. I saw them listening intently to the lesson and I hope one day they will understand and obey the truth. Brother Jimmy Duque preached about “The Story of Naaman” while the rest led singing and prayers. The brethren at Palca are also in attendance as they not only encourage the family but are always willing to listen to the words of God.

March 31, in our Lord’s day here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about “Playing with Fire”. The text is from the story of Samson in Judges 16:4-30. He talks about sin that will take us farther than we want to go and that sin keeps as longer than we want to stay. In the sermon, brother Jerome preached to us about “Honk! Honk!” the sound that a goose usually makes. He made an example from the life of a goose to our Christian life. We needed to practice synergy like them and share the burden of every brethren. We also need to encourage those who lead and finally take care of one another.

In Palca, I preached to them about “What can happen to my faith?” I saw this chart in one of the post of a brethren in facebook and so I studied it and shared to the brethren at Palca. Our faith may be increased, perfected with good works or be overthrown and made shipwreck by other doctrine and sin. As a faithful Christian, we need to keep our faith until death for us to reach our eternal goal which is in heaven.

April 2, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Waren Cadater discussed to us “Acts 25” in the morning and brother Rogelio Esperanza preached about “Those things we cannot escape” like God, our self/conscience, death and judgment”.
