Preaching activities from February 8-March 5, 2023

 February 8 (Midweek service)

We continue to study the book of Matthew here in Tuguegarao and we are now in the 12th chapter from 1-30. Brother Rody is still the one who is teaching it.

February 10 (Dagupan)

I visited brethren at Dagupan once again. I failed to find some of them because they are either in school or at work. I manage to have some time with sister Teresita Puselero and her family. Most of them are already christians but her husband is not. Since the church was established in that village, even when I am not yet their preacher, no one can convince him to obey the gospel but sometimes, when I invited him in Gospel Meetings, he is joining. He only joins Gospel Meetings but not worship services. I am praying that someday, he will be converted into Christ.

February 12 (Sunday Worships)

I was invited by brother Jay Gumpad and brother James Attaban at Minagbag Church. We've decided that they will also join me in Palca and Dagupan starting immediately. More of this news below.  So, in Minagbag, I preached about "Peter's Legacy". After the sermon, we extended the invitation and one precious soul obeyed the gospel. He's name is Jay-ar. He can't hardly walk because of his condition. I do not know how to call it but he was born with his hands and feet not normal. We are very happy to see someone like him obey the gospel. Brother James baptized him in their baptistery.

In the afternoon, at Palca, it was brother Jay's turn also to preach. Just like what I said above, him and James has decided to join me every afternoon at Palca and Dagupan. I told the brethren about this and listened to their response. They are happy to have them help me. As their local preacher, I made schedules where we will have a rotation on who to preach and starting at the end of the month, we will do it, but the rotation includes that I will preach one of those two congregation every Sunday because I am still their local preacher.

Brother Jay preached to us about "Is baby baptism allowed in the bible?". This is also questions of many brethren who were just baptized but now made clear because of the lesson.

In Dagupan, brother James was the one who preached. He shared to us the lesson about "The value of attending worship services." For this time, it was my first of the longest time I am not very tired. I am happy that besides Jhian and Henry who are helping me, their is also Jay and James now. Even though I am still the one spending for our travels using my support, I am happy to have them as my co-workers.

February 13 (Dagupan)

Since the Monday radio program is already abolished, I made some new schedules. This time, I went again to visit the brethren at Palca. But just like before, many of them are at school or at work. Together with brother Enzo, we just walk around the village and handed out bible tracts.

February 15 (Midweek service)

During our bible study, brother Rody again shared to us a lesson from the book of Matthew. We are already at Matthew 13:1-17. He is doing a preaching on Matthew to everywhere he goes and do it simultaneously, meaning if he preach here Matthew 13, on the next place he will preach will be Matthew 14.

February 16 (Palca)

I visited sister Lorna at Palca this time. She had health problems and it is in her stomach. We do not know yet what is really the problem and as of the writing of this report, she is in her way to the hospital and will have several tests. She called me this morning (March 7) and ask for help in going to the hospital here in Tuguegarao. I will meet them later.

And so my visit to them is to pray for her. But not only her, but her daughter, sister Girlie who is also have health problems. She has goiter that makes her breathing difficult. They thought she has asthma, but upon checking, the goiter is the one blocking the way of the air going inside her body. We ask for your prayers for both of them.

February 18 (Dagupan)

It is Saturday and so I got a chance to visit our brethren who are students. Together with Jhian and Henry, we went to the houses of sister Jobelyn, sister Gaile, brother Albert, brother Gilbert and sister Leona who is also sick. She was sent to the hospital the last week that's why for three weeks, I haven't seen her in our services. There are a lot of complications in her health. Kidney problem, asthma, high blood, diabetes, those are what they told me. She is nearing 70 years old and have weak body. We also want to ask prayers for her.

February 19 (Sunday Services)

Brother Rody asked me if he can take my place for the meantime in the young people class because he want to discuss some lessons and so I stayed in the bible class of the adult. It was brother Flor who taught and in was in Matthew 22. We have a booklet that we are using and that is also what we are following in the bible study. I will also have my turn to teach, maybe after three weeks because the other chapters are already scheduled for other brethren to share.

In the sermon, brother Rody preached on Matthew 13:18-43.

In the afternoon, at Palca, Jhian was the one who preached. He shared the lesson about "Are you hungry for heaven?".

In Dagupan, I am the one who preached and the lesson is about "Faving our giants".

February 20

I didn't push through with my schedule because I have migraine again. This is always my problem.

February 22 (Midweek service)

Our bible study continues with the book of Matthew. We are now in Matthew 13:44-58.

February 23 (Angang)

I went to visit sister Milagros at Angang. It is the village next to Palca but all the brethren from that area worships with us at Palca. I haven't seen her in our worships for a while and so I decided to visit her. Her reason is that, every Friday, she goes to Lakambini where his daughter lives. She is taking care of her grand kids because her daughter travels to work. She told me that this is only until the end of March. And so I prayed with her and encourage her to be strong in the faith.

February 25 (Dagupan)

Together with Jhian and Henry again, we visited our brethren who are students. We visited sister Maricel, sister Lyka, sister Nicole and brother Ronald. I only heard from them about the reason why some other brethren just like them have not attended the worship lately. The reason is, they moved to Piat because that is where the college school is. They live in a dormitory there and only goes home once a month.

February 26 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Flor discussed to us the continuation of Matthew 22. In the sermon, brother Rody preached Matthew 14:1-21.

In the afternoon at Palca, brother James was the one who preached. He shared to us the lesson "Jesus overcomes discouragement", a wonderful lesson teaching patience, perseverance and keeping our faith strong in the Lord.

In Dagupan, I preached to them about "7 reasons why people don't obey God".

February 27 (Dagupan)

I was asked by sister Jeny Rose who is working in England to go to their house in Dagupan and preach on the birthday of her daughter. She would like me to preach to them about giving thanks to God and the church because his husband is not yet a christian. She also asked me to pray for the birthday of their daughter.

March 1 (Midwek service)

In our bible study, brother Rody continued to teach us on the book of Matthew. This time we are are in 15:1-20.

March 2 (Palca)

I went to visit brother Nathaniel and sister Christine in Palca. I found Nathaniel in their house but not sister Christine. They told me she is here in Tuguegarao studying. I do not have any way to communicate with her because her facebook is already inactive and so I asked her mother the cellphone number. I have contacted her and advice her to join us in our worship here in Tuguegarao if she have no classes. Unfortunately, even on Sundays, they still have classes.

March 4 (Dagupan)

I again went to check sister Leona's condition and thankfully, she is already out of the hospital. She have a lot of medicines to take. I cannot talk directly to her because she is till weak. I talked to brother Casimiro his husband and prayed with them.

March 5 (Sunday Services)

In our bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Flor shared to us the first part of Matthew 23. It was supposedly brother Anthony who is teaching but because he is loosing his voice due to cough, he told brother Flor to take his place. I was also told to teach Matthew 24 if brother Jimmy cannot do it on March 19. In the sermon, brother Rody preached Matthew 25:21-39.

In Palca, I am the one who preached. I shared to them the lesson "Is everyone going to heaven?" As a Christian, this is an easy question to answer. We all know why. I discussed here every detail for them to remember and if asked the same question by others, they can easily give the verses. I plan to preach this also here in Tuguegarao and Dagupan when it is my time to preach.

In Dagupan, brother Jhian was the first one to preach and he shared about "Growth spiritually through..." and brother Jay preached also. He shared the lesson "Is the Church of Christ the same as other churches?" This is also a question every Christian should know the answer. The true church in the bible is not the same with any other churches built by man today, period.

Preaching activities from January 9 to February 5, 2023

January 9

I should be preaching in the radio but unfortunately, there transmission line is under repair and so instead of doing nothing, I went to Dagupan to check on the land we bought for the church building and also had the chance to talk to the neighbors near the lot. I also gave them bible tracts.

January 11 (Midweek Service)

W continue to study the book of Matthew here in Tuguegarao. We do it every Wednesday and Sunday where brother Rody is the one teaching. He will do it until the last week of April because on May, they will go to UK. I will be left here to take care of the preaching.

During this time, we studied the 7th chapter of the book.

January 14 (Gospel Meeting)

I am invited to preach in the Gospel Meeting at Nangalisan, Solana. They have many preachers in their congregation that includes brother Rody Gumpad, brother Flor Constantino, brother Lino Darauay and brother Rogelio Esperanza. This will be the first gospel meeting of their congregation.

There are four speakers and we are all asked to preached on particular lessons.
Efren Respicio - The Church of Christ in Prophesy
Jay Gumpad - Establishment of the Church
Mark Daquioag - Worship of the Church
Jerome Forelo - Importance of being a Church of Christ

Invitation was extended and three precious souls obeyed the gospel. One of them is an aged man who was living in Maguirig before. They were doing preaching in their house years ago but he was the one who really doesn't want to participate in the studies. But this time, when he went in front to confess his faith, he is in tears and repenting of all the things he had done before. We are happy for him and also to the two young ladies.

January 15 (Sunday worships)

In our Teenagers class here in Tuguegarao, we continue to study the book of Genesis. We are now in the 2nd chapter. We will try to study the whole bible, chapter by chapter every week.

In our worship, brother Rody preached on Matthew 8:1-17. Invitation was extended and two precious souls confessed their faith. Mel Sambo who is a construction worker and is currently working on the church building finally obeyed the gospel after a year of joining us in worship. Jayson Ramos who was recently married also obeyed the gospel. He is a security guard in a school were my daughter goes.

In the afternoon at Palca, I preached to them about "Offer God true worship".

And in Dagupan, I also preached the same lesson. Sadly, two of our sisters told me they applied for work abroad and will leave in a couple of weeks. Many of our brethren here doesn't have any job that can help their family and as a result, they apply for work in other countries. In my counting, we have 14 brethren who already left since 2021. May you please include them in your prayers.

January 16 (Radio program)

Early in the morning, I traveled to Dagupan together with the carpenters who will work on our church building. I thank brother Ron Halbrook and brother Rody Gumpad for the funds that we are using. They are the once who help me locate the funds.

At noon time, I preached in the radio the topic "According to the pattern".

January 18 (Midweek service)

In our bible study, brother Rody preached to us Matthew 8:18-34. We have a few attendance because the weather is very cold and raining.

January 19 (Dagupan)

I went to visit the site for the chapel and also had the chance to go around the village to distribute tracts and also interact with them. I also talked to the village chieftain and other officials in the area. I received good feedbacks about what we are doing because it will also help them lessen any problems in the village if people will go to church instead of doing vices.

January 21 (Dagupan)

I went again to Dagupan to visit the site and also give the wages of the carpenters. I went to the houses of our brethren, particularly those who seldom go to church. I encourage them to attend and prayed with them.

January 22 (Sunday worships)

In our teenagers class, we studied Genesis 3. As the weather is still not good, many of our brethren came in late. Only three of them are in my class.

In the worship, brother Rody preached Matthew 9:1-26. We have another baptism. This time, the electrician we are hiring every time there are electrical needs of problems in the chapel obeyed the gospel. He is also the husband of the one who cleans the chapel here in Tuguegarao. His name if Jun Maribbay.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them the lesson "Words not to live by".

In Dagupan, Jhian also shared a lesson "Things we need to remember in life" and I followed up with the same lesson I preached at Palca.

January 23 (Radio Program)

This is my last time preaching in the radio because the Monday schedule will no longer continue. We will just continue on the Saturday schedule because of lack of funds to pay and brother Jay is the one who preach during that time. There will be times when I will also preach in his schedule.

I preached "Our need to repent" in this day.

January 25 (Midweek service)

We invited a preacher from Solana to teach us. Brother Rogelio Esperanza shared a good lesson about "Facing our giant".

January 26 (Palca and Dagupan)

I went to visit the site again and didn't waste any chance not to invite people to the church. I again distributed bible tracts, but this time with brother Enzo.

I also went to Palca because we are fixing the door of the chapel. I went to visit also sister Maria Andrada together with his daughters sister Teresita. I am happy that sister Teresita came back to church.

In our worship, brother Rody preached |Matthew 10:1-15.

In the afternoon at Palca and Dagupan, I preached in both places "One and Done". About the things we only have one opportunity to have and to do.

February 1 (Midweek service)

We continue to study the book of Matthew with brother Rody. This time, we studied Matthew 11:1-15.

February 2 (Dagupan)

I visit again the site and have another opportunity to talk to the people around. I have a conversation with an "Espiritista". They are the once who does rituals for worship. I asked brother Rody about this religion and he said hat they are the once who are very hard to convert because of their beliefs. I hope and pray that I can help her realized the truth and obey the gospel someday.

February 5 (Sunday Worships)

In our teenagers class, we studied Genesis 5. Sometimes the call this the chapter of death.

In our worship, brother Rody preached Matthew 11:16-30.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them the lesson "Overcome evil with good". I am happy with our attendance because those whom I visited and talked to (personally and in facebook) in the recent days came.

In Dagupan, I also preached the same lesson. After the worship, a young lady came to me and asked questions about salvation. I forgot to ask her name because of the good questions she have, but she is the granddaughter of brother Enzo. I am praying that she will obey the gospel soon.

Preaching activities from December 7, 2022 to January 8, 2023

December 7 (Midweek Service)

The weeks where we invited preachers from other congregations already ended and this remaining weeks of the year, it is our elders time to teach in our bible study. This time, it was brother Lino Darauay. He shared to us the lesson about "Two appointments".

December 8-10 (Hospitalization of my son)

I brought my son to the hospital because of severe stomach pain. He was diagnosed of Streptoccal Glumerlunonephritis. We got out of the hospital Saturday evening.

December 11 (Sunday Worships)

My wife and I are still working on teaching the children and teenagers in our respective classes while the elderly have their bible studies on the book of Matthew. This is done in the same time. After that, we will all join together in the worship. I discussed in our teenagers class on John 21 and 22. In the sermon, brother Rody preached "Matthew 5:1-12".

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them the question "Do I have to?" This is a question of those who lack faith regarding on worship services, if they should always attend, in reading and studying the bible and in fellowship with the brethren.

In Dagupan, Jhian first preached about "How to live?" then I followed with the same lesson in Palca.

December 12 (Radio Program)

For the remaining two months of our radio program contract, I am still the one in charge of preaching every Monday. This will end in January 31, 2023. I preached over the radio the lesson "Creatures of Choice".

December 14-17 (Hospitalization)

After the last week of my son getting hospitalized, I am also brought there. I got high fevers for two days and so my wife decided to bring me to the hospital. I got diagnosed with Amoebiasis and Dengue Fever. We got out of the hospital Saturday evening. My blood platelet is already normal but still I feel dizzy and weak.

December 18 (Sunday Worship)

Because of my body still not responding to what I want to do, we didn't have class with the teenagers. In the worship, we have a guest from Ilocos Region, brother Rolly Salvador. He preached to us a wonderful lesson about "Amazing Grace" coming from the lyrics of the song, he discussed every detail of it.

I didn't have the strength to go to Palca and Dagupan in the afternoon, that's why I asked brother Dennis Yuson to go and do the work.

December 19 (Radio Program)

I am still weak but because I can just call over the radio and connect me in the air, I still preach. I am just sitting in the couch here in our house and preaching through phone call. I preached the lesson we can all learn from the story of Naaman.

December 21 (Midweek service)

For the remaining Wednesday of the month, brother Rody decided that he will do the preaching. He discussed to us Matthew 5:17-26.

December 23 (Visitation)

Back to normal and I can again visit our brethren. I got a chance to visit the Tappa Family. Sister Jobelyn is the only christian in their family but I got a chance to meet her parents and siblings. I shared to them a short lesson and it is about the church because they also need to go back to their work.

December 25 (Sunday Worship)

I've been invited to several activities during the date and so I decided to ask permission to the church at Tuguegarao to go and have it all done.

In the morning, we first had our worship at Dagupan and I preached to them the lesson on the reasons "Why did they have to die?". For example, on the case of Adam and Eve, they died because they sin, for Abel, he died because his brother sinned and so forth.

After our worship, I was invited to the house of sister Maribel Manicad for a thanksgiving prayer. They are thanking God because even though she had diabetes, with the help of God, she is now getting better. Not only that but also because her mother is celebrating her 61st birthday.

In the afternoon, our regular schedule in Palca for our worship. I also preached to them the same lesson. After the lesson, another invitation of thanksgiving. This time for Janice. She is just 5 years old, and also celebrating her birthday. They asked me to share a lesson on the bible about giving thanks and also for a prayer.

December 26 (Radio Program)

I preached over the radio the lesson on "Things to forget this 2022". It is all about our setbacks, sorrows and sins.

December 28 (Wedding at Cabuluan)

We were invited to a wedding of the son of brother Sherwin Miranda who is also a cousin of my wife. It is a long travel going to their area. I was ask to lead the opening prayer and brother Rody preached at about Marriage and also did the ceremony. We arrived home at around 8pm already and so we didn't catch up our midweek service at Tuguegarao.

January 1 (Sunday Worships)

We did not have class again for the teenagers as requested by the elders because we have a guest preacher and that there are still activities to be done after the worship. Our guest is brother Lance Coloma, he is from Alibago Church but now working in Manila and helping in the work at Pasay Church. He preached a lesson about "Call To Worship".

In the afternoon, at Palca, Jhian was the scheduled preacher. He preach about "How to live?". Henry also help in the work by leading songs. Our attendance is very low due to the heavy rain. The only way they can come to church is by walking and so that is difficult for them to come.

In Dagupan, I preached to them the lesson about "Fear". For this year 2023, we do not know what our fate will be and sometimes that causes us to fear. But if we do not lack faith in God, that will be easy because we know, He will not forsake us.

January 2 (Radio Program)

I decided to preach also the same lesson about "Fear" over the radio.

January 4 (Midweek service)

In our midweek service, brother Rody discussed to us "Matthew 6".

January 7 (Postponed Gospel Meeting)

The last week, I was asked by our elders who are also the preachers at Nangalisan Church that I will be one of the speakers in their Gospel Meeting, and also gave me a topic to discussed and so I didn't make any other schedules and prepare for it. But unfortunately, because of unexplained circumstances, they re-scheduled the Gospel meeting on January14.

January 8 (Sunday Worships)

Back to our class with the teenagers, we now went back to the start of the bible which is the book of Genesis. We started with the first chapter as discussion.

In the sermon, I am also the one who preach. Brother Rody was invited in Villa Salud Church and so the elders asked me to take his place and do the sermon. I preached the lesson about "Do I have to?". This is the lesson I preach weeks ago but because they haven't heard it yet, I decided to preached it. After the worship, I lady came to the elders and ask some questions until she finally decided to obey the gospel. I help in immersing her in water. She is our new sister in Christ, sister Jenalyn Ocon.

In the afternoon, at Palca, we are back to our average attendance because the weather is good. I preached to them about "The Rich Fool". Discussing the good traits he have, his blunder and his fall, teaching us not to follow his footsteps but to always thank and think God every moment of our lives.

In Dagupan, Jhian preached first about "Christian Priorities". A good lesson for the start of the year. If we have a new years resolution, it should be to look on our priorities which is to obey God always. I also preached after him and shared also about the "Rich Fool".

Tuesday, December 6, 2022

Preaching activities from November 7 - December 5, 2022

 November 7 (Radio Program)

I am still asked by our brethren here at Metro Tuguegarao to preach every Monday over the radio. This time, I preached the lesson about "Prayers Unanswered".

November 9 (Midweek Service)

We continue to have guests preachers from other congregations on our bible study. This time, we have brother Jerome Forelo. He is a member here before but when he started to work in two congregations, Villa Salud Church and Maguirig Church, his family decided to moved their membership there. He shared to us a wonderful lesson about "Fight the good fight"

November 11 (Palca)

I went to visit brother Mark Marzan because I haven't seen him for a while in our worships. I found out that he is applying for a work in Manila and been there for a while now. He just came home the last Wednesday to get his things and will go back to Manila the next Monday. He said he will attend first our worship on Sunday before leaving. I read to him passages of the bible and also prayed together with him. I gave him the address of the congregation at Pasay to join them on Sundays.

November 13 (Sunday worships)

In our young people class here at Tuguegarao, I discussed to them John 3 and 8. Our attendance is the same as always, 3 boys and 5 girls. I am trying to help the eldest boy from among them (Lance) to stand and lead prayers. He have a potential to become a preacher also because he have the courage to speak and have a lot of knowledge in the bible.

In our worship, brother Rody preached "Why attend bible class?" This lesson is reminding everyone that we should not only attend Sunday services but also Midweek services.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them the lesson "Did God really mean that?" This is all about the commandments of God that sometime people think, it is very simple and maybe God will not care if we disobey it, but that is not what the bible is telling us. Every sin committed, their is a consequence. Examples are Uzziah, the man who picked woods during the sabbath and many more.

In Dagupan, Jhian taught in our bible study about "Work of obedience as a condition for salvation". I am happy to always listen to him and Henry when they preach because even though they are very busy right now in their school, they still have time to prepare good lessons. After him, I also preached the same lesson to the brethren.

November 14 (Radio Program)

I didn't preach in the radio during this time because the elders asked me to do something for the church here in Tuguegarao.

November 16 (Midweek service)

In our bible study, we have brother Jay Gumpad as our teacher. He is also a member here before but when the brethren at Minagbag decided to have their worship in the morning, he and his wife moved their membership there, but all the kids are here with us in Tuguegarao. Their eldest daughter is one of my students in the young people class. He shared to us a wonderful lesson about "Warning to all the living".

November 18 (Dagupan)

I visited the Villafuerte sisters in Dagupan. I also haven't seen them around for a month already. They told me about several activities in school and promise to come to worship when everything is done. As of the day of this blog, they've been attending our worships already.

November 20 (Sunday Worships)

In our young people class, I discussed to them "John 9-10".

In our sermon, brother Rody preached "Matthew 3". Right now, we will study the whole book of Matthew.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them the lesson about "Vessels of Honor". How we can show to the world that we are indeed people who will be honored by God and men.

In Dagupan, I also preached the same lesson. We decided that I will be the only one to preach because the weather is not good and it any moment, it might rain again. We still do not have a church building and just like before, if it rains, we cannot hear each other. Please help us pray that we can already build our own chapel soon. We already bought a land with the help of the brethren from the US but we still do not have funds to start the building.

November 21 (Gospel Meetings and Radio Program)

Together with brother Rody Gumpad and James Attaban, we traveled around 6:30 in the morning to go to the Gospel Meeting at the towns of Gonzaga and Sta. Ana. We arrived in the first congregation at Limbus Church at around 10:30. Brethren from other congregations also joined the gospel meeting. They are from San Jose Church and Capadeco Church. Brother Rody preached "Hear the voice of Jesus" while I help in other works. Invitation was extended and 10 precious souls obeyed the gospel. We baptized them in the near river, at around 100m away from the meeting place. The water from the river is very strong because of the rain, but the brethren there use to it that's why there is no problem during the baptism.

Before going to the next place, we stopped by on a gasoline station to preach in the radio. By using our phone, they connected us to the station. The three of us preached over the radio. This is a good thing about gadgets right now. Wherever we are, we can still do the program.

The next place we went to preach is at Maging Church. They are a small group but very dedicated. James and I were asked to lead songs and prayers. Brother Rody preached about "Destiny of Man". Invitation was extended and 8 forwarded. Two of them are disqualified because they still do not know what they are doing. They are still young and need to study more. We baptized the 6 of them near a channel water.

November 23 (Midweek service)

I am the one scheduled to preach but a month ago, brother Reymund Welba came with brother Victor Sinon and he asked me if he can take my place. I happily agreed because I am always teaching here in Tuguegarao and for him to preach will be a joy to all of us. He came with his wife and he preached about "Make your calling and election sure".

November 24 onwards

I went to get brother Jay Gumpad out of the hospital last Wednesday and the next day, I got cough, then comes next is flu and fever. My kids and wife also got the same sickness in the next days. Thursday, I can still manage to work, but came Saturday, headache struck me with the other sicknesses that made me stay on bed.

November 27 (Sunday Worships)

I asked the elders if we can cancel our young people class to avoid passing the sickness and they agreed. I still attended our worship and prepared the things we needed for livestreaming, but on the middle of the sermon, I got very weak that they told me to go and rest already. In short, I went home and there's nothing I can do because my body won't allow me to work.

In the afternoon, brother Rody and sister Tessie went to Palca and Dagupan because I can no longer go.

November 30 (Midweek service)

In our bible study, one of our elders taught. Brother Flor Constantino, shared the lesson about "Do not get caught outside when God shuts"

December 4 (Sunday Worships)

I am still not feeling well, I got dizzy from time to time but still manage to teach in our young people class. I shared to them "John 12-15". We are almost finished with the book and we are planning to go back to Genesis when we finished this.

In the sermon, brother Rody preached on Matthew 4.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them "Irony of the cross". This is the first Sunday of the last month of the year and I am happy that we continue to be diligent in the work.

In Dagupan, I also preached the same lesson. It's a little bit cold now and a few rain makes our worship harder. We have done our work for the Lord properly even with many hindrances.

December 5 (Radio Program)

I also preached in the radio program about the "Irony of the cross". After the lesson, I received text messages of appreciation, but I owe it all to God because He is the one who continue to heal me from my sickness and the one giving me the knowledge to preach His word.

Sunday, November 6, 2022

Preaching activities from October 12 to November 6, 2022

 October 12 (midweek service)

For our midweek service, we continue to have guest speakers as suggested by our elders. This time, we have brother Jimmy Domingo with us. He is the preacher at Lanna Church in Solana. He spoke about "Salvation of man is very important to God".

October 13 (Gospel Meetings)

We were invited for a Gospel Meeting at Santiago Church in Quirino where brother Victor Ramos is preaching. This is my first time going to that congregation and also that area. They are a group of liberals before but now repented and went back to the true doctrine of Christ. It was Thursday and according to him, many of the brethren who are students are in schools. Brother Geronimo Ganela is the first speaker and he spoke about "Ephesians 5:16". He moves very slowly now because of his age and also a weak voice, but still very effected like before. The second speaker is brother Rody who preached "Heed God's warning". Invitation was extended, but no response. They are very happy to see us for the first time and wanted to schedule another day where everyone will come.

In the afternoon, we went directly to Alibago Church where brother Rody and brother Robert Rances are preaching. Brother Jonathan Tango was the first speaker and he spoke about "Walking in newness of Life". I followed with the lesson about "Peter's Legacy". After the preaching, benevolence were distributed by brother Rody.

Brother Jay and I exchange days again for the program. He have family plans during the Saturday and so he asked me to take over his time. I preached about "Dangers of Apostasy".

In Tuguegarao, I shared in the young people class "Luke 24". In the sermon, brother Rody preached "Proverbs 31:10-17"

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached a sarcastic lesson "Hindrances on the road to hell". That is, our parents who teach us God's way, the bible, the examples by the first Christians and more.

In Dagupan, Jhian first spoke, and he shared the lesson "Are Christians to judge?" then I followed with the lesson "The True Church of Christ". Invitation was extended and one precious soul confess his faith. We baptized brother Vidasto Castro in the baptistery at Palca. He is the husband of sister Alma who was first baptized earlier in the month.

October 21 (Visit at Dagupan)

I went to Dagupan to visit a sick sister. She is sister Jobelyn Mangulad. She is again very weak because of her diabetes. We read the bible and prayed together.

October 23 (Sunday Worships)

For the teenager's class, we started with the first chapter of the book of John. My wife continue to teach also in the children's class every Sunday. In the sermon, brother Rody discussed "Proverbs 31:18-24"

In Palca, I preached to the "Signs on the road to heaven" while in Dagupan, I preached the other destination of souls which is "Hindrances on the road to hell".

October 24 (Radio Program)

I preached in the radio about "Noah". We have problem with the connection that's why my lesson was cut short.

October 25 (Bible study)

We were invited to a birthday party of the son of sister Monet Mora. They decided that we will have a bible study first before having the celebration. I invited brother Jerome Forelo, Edgar Corpuz and Jerry Soliva to help me with the work. Brother Jerome did the preaching and he shared about "Giving Thanks". There are many non-Christians in the audience and it is a great opportunity also to share the truth.

October 26 (Midweek service)

We have brother Victor Sinon with us who is a preacher at De Abra Church. He preached about "A true Christian".

October 27-29

No other activities because of the continuous rain and typhoon.

October 30 (Sunday Worships)

In our teenager's class, there are only three of them who attended. The other brethren cannot leave their houses anymore because of the flood. We started with the first half of the lesson "8 signs in the book of John". In the sermon, brother Rody ended our lesson on the book of Proverbs.

In the afternoon, I didn't go to Palca and Dagupan because there is this one bridge that is already overflowing and already closed to the public. I cannot pass through it and so I contacted Jhian and Henry to be the one preaching in both congregations.

October 31 (Radio Program)

I continued with the lesson I preached the last week which is all about Noah. It was also a right timing because of the flood we are having.

November 2 (Midweek service)

We have brother Joeben Jacobo with us who is a preacher at the town of Gattaran and Alcala. He shared the lesson about "Jesus' reliance upon scriptures".

November 3 (Visitation)

Our electricity is out most of the time during the flood that makes our area very hot again. No more rains but the water is still there. I went to see the conditions of our brethren at Palca and Dagupan. There are brethren who were flooded in the low areas. Crops were all destroyed and many things damaged. Regarding their health, they are all fine.

November 4 (Funeral Service)

Brother Jay invited us to help him in the work in Minagbag where our sister Venus Ordonio's wake is situated. It is the last night and they requested for a service. Brother Jay led our singing, James Attaban our opening prayer, Jerome preached about "Truth about life" then I led our closing prayer. Our sister Venus died from accident. She got dizzy because of high blood pressure, fell down and hit the side of the chair that causes her comatose. After 3 days, she died. Please pray for her family. Only she is the Christian in their family.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I also preached the lesson about "Noah and the flood".

In Dagupan, Jhian was the first on to preach and he shared about "Love", then I followed with the same lesson.
