Activities from August 3-22, 2014

August 3, in our Lord’s day service here at Metro Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught in our bible study about “A Christian is a…disciple” then followed by brother Jerome who preached in the sermon about “overcoming discouragement”.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them about “The Whole Armor of God”.

August 5, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Manny Pader taught “I surrender all” in the morning and “Philippians 3” in the afternoon. We have good discussions about the chapter and I wrote on my notebook all the information I wanted so that I can get the meaning of the lesson.

August 6, in our midweek service here at Metro Tuguegarao, I taught in our bible study on “Luke 6” about “How the sabbath was use, the calling of the twelve apostles, and Jesus teachings”.

August 10, in our Lord’s day service here at Tuguegarao, I taught in our bible study about “Some things Jesus never had” like an earthly home, earthly father, sin, grudge to others and revenge, and disobedience”. In the sermon, brother Jun taught “The Time is now…”

In the afternoon, I preached the same lesson at Palca about “Some things Jesus never had”.

August 12, in our preachers’ bible study, brother Robert Pader taught in the morning about “Differences between Conservative and Liberal churches”, there are many questions raised but with the help of each other, we got the answer from the verses in the bible. In the afternoon, he discussed “Philippians 4”.

August 13, in our midweek service here at Tuguegarao, brother Jun taught “1 John 1”. He is not the one scheduled because brother Robert Rances is sick at that time.

August 17, in our Lord’s day service here at Tugueagarao, brother Jun taught “No reason to be baptized…unless” and in the sermon, brother Jerome preached “Matthew 6:33”.

In the afternoon at Palca, I preached to them “Luke 6”. We have no electric current at that time and it was very hot in the chapel. I still finished teaching the whole chapter even though it is that hot.

August 18, I invited my fellow preachers to come and join me in distributing bible tracts and invitations at Palca but I got a call from the brethren there that our President here in the Philippines is coming to their place for their feast and opening of the new bridge and so people will be going there because they were given tickets for the raffle draw of whom they will win farm machineries as prize. We cancelled the distribution but I gave all the tracts to the brethren who were at Palca and they are the once who distributed the next day.

August 19, in our preachers’ bible study, brother July Aguinaldo taught “How well do you listen?” in the morning and brother Rogelio Esperanza taught “Colossians 1” in the afternoon.

August 20, we went to the Gospel Meeting at Minagbag, Quezon where brother Jay Gumpad is preaching. I am the first speaker and I preached about “ Take Away The Stone”. We must remove all the sins that we have in order for us to receive the reward from God in the last day. The second speaker was brother Jun who preached about “A Christian is a disciple”. Then, the last speaker in the morning was brother Jerome who preached about “How safe is your treasure?”

The church building is full inside and so some of the brethren sat outside. Even though we didn’t have the tracts distribution, the brethren at Palca did their job by inviting neighboring brethren from San Luis and Naruangan. The brethren at Dagupan who recently joined us in our services are at full attendance in the activity. We have one visitor, Junior Sabado, in attendance. He is the one whom I always visit when I visit the brethren at Palca. He’s reason why he cannot join us on Sundays is that He cannot walk from his house to the chapel, but I still invited him for our Sundays worship and he said he will try his best to attend. Hopefully, he will decide soon to obey the gospel as he is very willing to listen to the word of God.

***This previous Gospel Meetings (Minagbag, Alibago and Palca), are planned by us (Jay, Jerome, Jun, Rody and I) because of our desire to encouragement and strengthen the brethren at our congregations. Next Friday if the Lord’s will, we will have the Gospel Meeting at Maguirig where brother Jun is preaching.
