Preaching activities from August 4 to September 1, 2024

August 4 (Sunday Worship)

In the morning, I was invited by brother Rogelio Esperanza to preach in their congregations at San Luis Church. It is just near the congregations where I am preaching because they are in the same town. I preached in a funeral service in their area the previous week and the brethren told brother Rogelio to invite. I am happy to be with them and for many times that I am going to that area, preaching in their home bible studies and distributing tracts, it was my first time to preach in their worship and in their chapel. I preached the sermon on the story of Naaman where I got the lesson from brother Donnie Rader “7 People, 7 lessons”. My outline was in our native language so that people will easily understand.

In the afternoon at Palca, it was brother Robert Rances who preached the sermon. He shared to us “What God has joined together, let no man put asunder”.

In Dagupan, I also preached the same sermon on “7 people 7 lessons”.

August 7 (Midweek Service)

Brother Craig Teel and brother Keith Greer was picked-up early morning to be working here in our region for almost a month, Craig will only stay for 10 days. They are both from Valparaiso, Indiana. Craig is one of their elders and Keith is a member of that congregation.

Every year, brother Keith visits the Philippines and teach on lectures and Gospel Meetings in different places. He was a local preacher before at Harrodsburg Church but when they moved to Valparaiso, he worked on a Funeral Parlor.

In our midweek service, Craig led us in singing while Keith preached on a lesson entitled “What is faith?”.

August 8-10 (Bible Lectures)

We had a 2 and a half day of bible lectures here at Tuguegarao. It was attended by many Christians and preachers who came from several congregations. Some of them came from Ilocos Region, Isabela and Kalinga. The first two days had a full house but on the last day, only half because many of them went back home Friday evening (7-10 hours travel). They needed to prepare for Sunday also.

For the first day, I wasn’t able to attend because I brought my mother to the eye surgeon. We went there very early hoping that she will be the first, but we ended up being there until 4 in the afternoon. The next day, I needed to bring her again to the doctor in the morning for follow-up check up but in the afternoon, I made sure that I can already attend the lectures.

Brother Craig lead us in all the songs as he is a very good song leader. Brother Keith took over with all the preaching. He did a very good job with all the lessons even though he haven’t been preaching for a while in their congregation. They have their own local preacher there.

August 11 (Sunday Worship)

In our worship here in Tuguegarao, it was brother Craig who taught in our bible study. He shared a good lesson about “Leadership”. And in the sermon, brother Keith preached “Keep your heart with all diligence”. After the sermon, invitation was extended and I am very happy that from the three who went in front, I am surprise that my son(Gelo) decided to obey the gospel already. He is 12 years old. He is always attending the children’s class that’s why he is also learning a lot from the bible. The other young lady is Keisha (my niece) and the last one is the grand daughter of sister Amy who is a very faithful member of the Lord’s church. I immersed them in water for their baptism.

For our worship in the afternoon, I announced to the brethren at Palca and Dagupan that brother Keith will be going in Dagupan two weeks before and so the brethren at Palca told me that they wanted to listen to brother Keith also. We all decided that we will all have our worship at Dagupan for this Sunday.

Brother Keith preached the lesson on “Rules in reading the bible”. After the sermon, I summarized it in our language. Everyone is edified by the presence of brother Keith and most especially the sermon he presented.

August 12 (Gospel Meeting)

It was about 7am in the morning when we traveled to San Vicente, Gattaran. We arrived in the destination at around 9am because of the heavy traffic. It was Monday and many workers go to work and students go to school. This is the congregation where brother Joeben Jacobo and Salcedo Jacobo preaches. They have a very beautiful building. In the whole Cagayan, they have the best one.

Brother Craig led us again in the singing. Brother Keith preached a very good lesson about “The most dangerous sin”. Brother Jerome summarizes the lesson after that. I was asked to lead the invitation song. No response for this time but the audience are very edified.

August 13 (Gospel Meeting)

We needed to travel early again going to Remus, Baggao. We got up at 7am and arrived there at 9:30am. When we arrived, brother Keith had already started the lesson. He preached about “Nature or the scripture”. It was brother Sammy Paet (Their local preacher), who summarizes the lesson. Invitation was sung and 8 precious souls obeyed the gospel. We’ve talked with them after the meeting and found out they are from the Agta Tribe. Their leader was also baptized and he is the one guiding them to learn the truth.

August 14 (Gospel Meeting)

This is just a short trip of about an hour going to Babalag, Kalinga. Brother Geronimo Ganela, Gerald Ganela and Jun Agsaoay are the preachers. They have a very high building that sounded like your in a Catholic chapel when someone speaks in the front. Their is an echo around the building when someone speaks on the mic. But unlike in Catholic chapel, you cannot understand what the priest is saying, here, the voice is very clear. I drove brother Craig Teel in the area. He preached the lesson “Securing the heart”. It was summarized by brother Rody after that. Invitation was extended and 4 precious souls went in front to confess their faith. But when we went to the baptism, another young lady decided to obey the gospel.

In the evening was our midweek service here in Tuguegarao. Brother Keith taught “What does God wants of me?”. It was the last night of brother Craig with us because he is flying back to the US early next day. He also led us in beautiful spiritual songs once again.

August 15 (Gospel Meeting)

At around 6 in the morning, we drop brother Craig Teel in the airport. He arrived at Manila safely but his flight back to the US was cancelled because there was a typhoon in Japan. He bought a new ticket with different route but it was a Saturday flight. He arrived safely to the US with God's help on Sunday evening.

This is the first day where I have attended all the preaching activities for the whole day and I am also the one driving brother Keith to several congregations starting this day.

We first went to Lanna Church. It is just 30 minutes drive from Tuguegarao. We got there early and the brethren are already prepared. Brother Keith preached the lesson “Source of our faith”. After that, it was summarized again by brother Rody. Invitation was extended and their are two who confessed their faith.

The destination in the afternoon is at Cordova Church. We met under a tent that they temporary made. They are meeting under a tree every Sunday for worship. It was just 30 minutes from our last place. Brother Keith preached “Why is Lord’s blueprint different than man’s?”. Invitation was again extended and 5 precious souls confessed their faith. They were baptized in a pool near the meeting place. I didn’t go inside the resort because they want us to pay for the entrance and so there are only limited number who went inside.

August 16 (Gospel Meeting)

An hour travel again going to San Luis Church. It was a good sunny day but it was very hot once again. This time of the year here in the Philippines, it should be cold already, but this time, it was still like summer.

Brother Keith preached the lesson “Some who will not escape hell” and was summarized by brother Rody. There are five brethren who came from Palca attended. I told all of them of this Gospel Meeting but they have work and school.

In the afternoon, we went to Alibago Church. We arrived early in the area. The brethren rush to come because they thought we will start at 1:30. We were there at 12:45. Brother Keith preached “Some who will not escape hell continuation” and again summarized by brother Rody. Invitation was extended and one obeyed the gospel. It is the son of brother James Attaban, there local preacher. We brought him here in Tuguegarao to be baptized because the water in the river at Alibago is very high at that time. There was no rain in our area but the water came from Isabela Region passing through our river.

August 17 (Gospel Meeting)

This preaching day is the the most difficult from all the places we went to. I am not sure if you know the term “Brownout”. This happen when the electric company shuts down all the connections. This day, it was scheduled to have a whole day without electricity in the entire region of Kalinga where we are scheduled to go, that means it is very hot.

We first went to Bagbag Church where brother Luis Nalog is preaching. The chapel was full that it is even more difficult to breathe. Brother Keith is not use to this kind of weather that’s why he is soaking in his sweat before even started to preach. He preached about “Eternal purpose”. The preaching was cut short because of the situation but brother Rody still summarizes the lesson. Invitation was extended and we are happy that two precious souls obeyed the gospel.

Our next destination is in Liwan Church where brother Jun Agsaoay and Jonathan Tango are the preachers. It is also part of the region of Kalinga that’s why we still do not have electricity. It is good when it is cloudy but it was sunny during that time that makes the situation worst. Thankfully, we still managed to have the Gospel Meeting and the brethren are very much edified by it. Brother Keith preached about the The Holy Spirit and was summarized again by brother Rody.

August 18 (Sunday Worship)

For our worship at Tuguegarao, brother decided to teach both in the bible study and sermon as this will be his last Sunday with us. In our bible study he taught “War between God and Satan” and in the sermon, “Why do we sin?”.

In this Sunday, our worship at Palca and Dagupan happened on the same hour. The brethren at Dagupan requested if we can have the worship at 1pm in the afternoon because the village is celebrating their feast and our worship will be distracted with all the sounds around. They are celebrating it for two weeks. There are programs around the village that distracts our worship with their loud speakers. Brother Robert and I decided to go on separate ways. I went to Palca and him in Dagupan.

In Palca, Jhian asked me if he can take my place to preach. I obliged and so he shared a good lesson “Walk in Wisdom”. I added some extra points after his sermon.

August 19 (Gospel Meeting)

At around 6:30 in the morning, me, James Attaban and brother Keith traveled to Payagan, Ballesteros. We arrived there at around 9:30. Brother Johnson Ramil was their local preacher. Several preachers also join us once again and help in the work. Brother Keith preached about “Drawing nearer to God”. This time, it was me who summarizes the lesson because brother Rody and brother Jerome are not around. No conversion in this area.

In the afternoon, we went to Cabaritan Church where the sibling, Jun and Sherwin Miranda are preaching. Brother Keith preached “What saves us? One thing or many things?”. Brother Jun asked me at the beginning if I can summarize again but I beg him to let brother Robinson to do it because I am having a migraine. Invitation was extended and one young soul came in front to confess his faith. We brought him to the church at Cabuluan for his baptism. I talked to his grandma during the baptism and she told me she is very happy for her grandson. She is in tears while telling me stories about them.

After the activities, we stayed in a hotel in Sanchez Mira where brother Keith helped me in paying my room. Brother Rody and brother Dennis also arrived and will be joining us the next day.

August 20 (Gospel Meeting)

Our first destination is in Magacan Church. It was only 15 minutes away from the hotel we stayed in. The brethren here are from a native tribe led by brother Danny Bautista as their local preacher. Their meeting place is literally very small. I am 5’8 and I still needed to duck in order to go inside. Brother Keith preached about “The value of the valley”. Brother Rody already joined us once again and so he was the one who summarized the lesson. Invitation was extended and one young lady obeyed the gospel. We brought her under a bridge and she was baptized.

Our final destination for the day is in Barucboc Church. It was about an hour travel. Brother Johnson Ramil is also the preacher there. This congregation was established in the early 2000’s and was abolished and re-established several times. Brother Keith preached “God is…” (defining God) and was summarized by brother Rody.

We traveled back to Tuguegarao after the gospel meeting. It took us three and a half hours to go back home.

August 21 (Wedding)

We were invited to the wedding of brother Willy Pastor’s daughter in Santiago, Isabela. Brother Willy (“Otey”) is one of the most trusted preacher here in the Philippines and I can say one who have the strongest faith. If you want to know why, email me😁. Brother Keith shared a sermon regarding marriage and brother solemnized their wedding. Brother Dennis Yuson is also with us.

We stayed in a hotel at Santiago so that we will be near the place for the Gospel Meeting the next day.

August 22 (Gospel Meeting)

Our first destination is at Barucboc Church. They have one of the biggest chapel in the Philippines but it is still unfinished. Their local preacher is brother Edgar Lingbawan. He was helped by several American brethren to build it.

Brother Keith preached the lesson “Did the Lord build more then than one church?”. Invitation was extended but no response.

Our final destination for this two weeks long preaching trip with brother Keith is in Minagbag Church where brother Jay Gumpad and James Attaban is preaching. Brother Keith preached about “Love the lord your God”. Invitation was extended and one young lady confessed her faith. She was then baptized immediately after the activity.

August 23

We drop brother Keith Greer, Rody Gumpad and Willy Pastor to the airport for their flight going to Palawan Region. They will be there for 7 days before brother Keith goes back to the US. I can no longer join in that trip because I do not have the capacity to pay for airfare and other expenses.

August 25 (Sunday Worship)

In our bible study here at Tuguegarao, we continued on our study on the book of Luke. This time, it was brother Lino Darauay, one of our elders who shared the lesson. He discussed Luke 11:14-32. In the sermon, I was again asked to preached because brother Rody is in Palawan. The elders are planning on making me one of their regular preachers already because brother Rody is always away with other obligations. I preached to them about “Drawing near to God”.

In the afternoon, as requested by the brethren at Dagupan, brother Robert and I went on our separate worships. This time, he went to Palca while I went to Dagupan.

I also preached in Dagupan the lesson, Drawing near to God. Before we even sing our closing song, the surrounding place is very noisy already. Thankfully, we finished our worship joyfully.

We also have a meeting that on every last Sunday of the month, we will have our worship in the morning. It will be divided for Palca and Dagupan. That means, we will be early.

August 28 (Midweek Service)

Our elders invited brother Robert Rances to teach in our bible study. He shared the lesson “Parable of the wedding feast”. Only a few brethren are in attendance because it was a holiday here in the Philippines. Many went to their own towns and some on vacations.

August 31 (Gospel Meeting)

We were invited in the Gospel Meeting at San Mateo Church in Tumauini. Their local preachers are Jet Mark Ramirez and Reymund Welba. They are both very young preachers. Sometimes, they message me even in the middle of the night to ask for my suggestions or advises on their plans for their congregation. I am happy to help them. They treat me like their older brother. I am also the first one whom they told that they will be working on a new congregation at Antagan Church and wanted me to help them with the rebuilding of the said congregation.

The first speaker was brother Jun Miranda. They traveled for about 4 hours to be there. For us, it only took an hour and a half. He preached about “5 Things we needed for encouragement”. Then brother Victor Sinon, who is from that same area and preached about “Unity”. Invitation was extended and two precious souls obeyed the gospel.

In the evening, I received a message from sister Jonalyn Llones that our sister Loida Uton already passed away. She is the sister whom we always visit and prayed for because of her illnesses. She was brought to the hospital Saturday night for her dialysis, but according to them, she didn’t handle the procedure well and her body gave up. She just got baptized early this year and since then, she didn’t missed any services aside from when she is in the hospital. Her one leg is amputated, got blinded in both eyes, very weak, but still manage to attend worships. I very good example of what a Christian should be.

September 1 (Sunday Worship)

In our bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Lino continued with his lesson on Luke 11:33-54. In the sermon, I preached the lesson “Strengthening our faith”. The brethren who were out the last week are only in attendance and we are again in good number in our attendance. The chapel is almost full.

In Palca, I was the one scheduled to preached and I shared the same lesson “Strengthening our faith”. I decided to preach this lesson because the last time we visited sister Loida, when she is still alive, she mentioned to us a lot of things about keeping her faith strong in spite of all the hardships she is experiencing in life.

In Dagupan, brother Robert preached a good sermon on Acts 20. We have some visitors who came and one of them is the husband of sister Carie. We’ve been inviting him for so long already. He is always driving sister Carie and their daughter to church but never attended. But now, we are happy to see him inside the church. Hopefully, one day, he will also decide to obey the gospel.

After our worship, we went to the wake of sister Loida. We had a short service. Brother Robert shared from the words of God and I led our prayer.

Preaching activities for the month of July 2024

July 3 (Midweek Service)

As we continue with our midweek services during this month that brother Rody is in Londo, the elders invited preachers to come and teach here in Tuguegarao. This time, brother Luis Nalog was invited. He is a preacher at Kalinga. He shared a lesson on "Moses and Israelites". I stand to summarize his lesson in the end because most of the brethren cannot understand the way he speaks. We wanted everyone to go home understanding what the lesson is.

July 7 (Sunday Worship)

We moved our worship in Dagupan in the morning as requested by our brethren because of some things needed to be done in their village that day. And so I preached a lesson about "Zacchaeus". There are sickly brethren who are out but some of them still came. One of them is sister Maligaya who was paralyzed last December and slowly getting her health back. We are very happy to see her continue in the faith even with this disability. But there are those who are strong and can go everywhere they want that no longer attends worship now. I feel sad about them, but still hoping and praying that they will return to Christ before the end comes.

In Palca, we have brother Alex Genilba as our guests. I do not know why, but three of our brethren at Dagupan needs eye surgery, even brother Alex have eye problems and to the writing of this blog (August 2), my mother also had eye surgery. Please include them in your prayers. Brother Alex, even with eye problems, still managed to preach. He shared the sermon "Blessings of being a christian". The topic shows that even with many health problems, difficulties or problems in our lives, we must focus on the blessings we continue to receive from God.

July 8,9,10

It was during this time that I cannot go to preaching works because I needed to accompany my mother in the hospital for several laboratory tests on her blood and heart. We are in and out of the hospital for three days.

July 10 (Midweek Service)

Our elders invited brother Robert Pader who is the preacher at Bauan and Bangag Church. He preached the lesson  "What the worldly recognize?".

July 13 (Gospel Meeting)

We were invited in Babayuan Church by brother Ronald Valdez. This congregation was just re-established a month ago and he wants us to help him. They are seeking funds for their chapel and those preachers who came, shared amounts to him so that he can buy for the roofing. It is not enough, but that could help. The brethren there are poor and their collection is very small. They cannot do it alone.

Three speakers were on the spot chosen. Brother Ronald cannot make the schedule as he doesn't have knowledge about this. We are trying our best to help him.

We had the gospel meeting under a bamboo tree. The three speakers were brother Robert Pader, Jay Gumpad and Rogelio Esperanza. Invitation was extended and three precious souls obeyed the gospel.

July 14 (Sunday Worship)

For our bible study here in Tuguegarao, brother Flor taught "Luke 10:1-11". In the sermon, I shared a lesson about the song "The last mile of the way".

In the afternoon, at Palca, I gave an opportunity to Jhian to preach again. If you remember, he is one of the three whom I am training to become a preacher. I am jokingly telling him that he is better than me now because when he preach, he preach for one and a half hour. He shared the lesson "Faith Hope and Love" for that duration.

In Dagupan, it was brother Robert Rances' turn to preach. He shared the lesson on Matthew 19:6 regarding "What God joined together, let no man put asunder".

July 17 (Tracts distribution and bible study)

We where invited by brother Manny Pader is Bagunot,Baggao where he locally preach. It is about an hour drive from here. We went first to the house of a brethren and had a bible study with them. We had the gospel meeting just beside a small road. When there are vehicles coming, we stop for a while. Brother Efren Respicio was the one who led us in preaching. He shared a good lesson regarding the "Heavenly Home".

In the evening, we had our midweek service here in Tuguegarao. It was brother Dennis Yuson who was invited. He preach to us "Does prayer bring salvation?".

July 21 (Sunday Worships)

For our bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Flor continued with his lesson on the book of Luke. He is now on Luke 10:12-24. And for the sermon, I was able to preach the lesson about the "Healing of Naaman".

In the afternoon, at Palca, brother Jetmark Ramirez and brother Reymund Welba visited us. They are preachers in the area of Tumauini and so we had the opportunity to asked them to preach to us also. Jetmark was able to preached a good sermon on the book of 2 John.

In Dagupan, it was Reymund's turn and he preached "1 Peter 1". Thankfully, the rain came after the worship. If that happens while we are studying, we cannot hear each other again. It was raining very hard that the brethren cannot go home immediately.

July 24 (Midweek Service)

This is the last time that we have an invited preacher because the in the next week, it will supposedly brother Rody already. It was brother Sagrado Addamag who is with us and he is the a preacher also in the Kalinga Province. He preached the lesson about "Family and the church".

July 28 (Sunday Worship)

In our bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Flor shared to us on Luke 10:25-37. For this time, brother Rody is already with us. They arrived Thursday afternoon. He is the one who preached the sermon and shared the lesson on "Helping one another"

In Palca, I have an outline of the lesson "Healing of Naaman" but I watched on youtube a sermon by brother Donnie Rider about "Six people and six lessons" which is also about the story of Naaman. I just edited it the way our brethren can easily understand in our language but also included in the powerpoint my own outline of Naaman.

In Dagupan, brother Robert Rances preached a good sermon about the "Sin of the eyes".

July 30 (Bible study)

Brother Dennis Yuson invited us in Aquib, Piat. We first went to the house of his extended family for a bible study. Brother Jay Gumpad preached a lesson about "Spiritual Battles". After the study, we went to the popular Catholic Church (Our lady of Piat) and we distributed bible tracts in the area. Many are looking at us because of what we are doing. There are those who are entering the chapel that we are also giving tracts. I hope that they will read those and learn the truth.

In the afternoon, we went to San Luis, Tuao where brother Rogelio is the preacher. We went to the wake of sister Jovita. She is a faithful sister  that even when she was already sick, if she can still walk, she will go to the services. But since she was bedridden, that's the time they cannot see her anymore in the church. I was able to preached a sermon in the wake. I shared about "What is death, the blessings and the curse".

July 31 (Tracts Distribution)

We went to Dagupan, Tuao where I am preaching. We distributed bible tracts in the whole village. We met members of the Free Believers Church which is about one kilometer only from our chapel. They are like Pentecostals who have tithes and have instruments in worship. We also have brethren who are from that same church before and are now faithfully serving the Lord.

When we went home, sister Aileen, who is brother Efren Respicio's wife, sent us a message and the picture of Efren who is in the hospital. They immediately went there because she cannot breathe. They cannot detect his blood pressure and so they put him in the ICU. As of to this day (August 2), he is already getting better. He might have gotten this from our tracts distribution because it was very hot during that time and we walk for a long time.

In the evening, we had our midweek service here in Tuguegarao. It should be brother Rody who will be teaching but he cannot do it. Brother Flor was the one who preach and he shared "Matthew 26:26-31".

Preaching Activities from June 2 to 30, 2024

June 2 (Sunday Worship)

For our bible study here at Tuguegarao, brother Flor Constantino shared to us Luke 9:1-6. It should be brother Randy Viernes but he is still not ready to stand in front. He is still afraid to lead a bible study but we are using him in leading prayers.

In the sermon, I am grateful to God that I have the opportunity again to share His powerful words. I shared a lesson entitle "Things happy people do".

In the afternoon, at Palca, I preached to them a lesson entitled "Enoch’s exam". I only got this lesson from a brother in Christ I found in the internet but I needed to change the way on how it should be delivered to the audience I am preaching. It should be the way they could apply in their lives. I mean, Americans and Filipinos served the same God but live a different lives.

In Daguan, brother Robert Rances preached a lesson that many of our brethren today need to know because some of them, not just in Dagupan, but the entire Philippines still follow traditions that are against the bible. He preached the lesson titled "Things that are not written in the bible" that many people follow.

June 5

Brother James Attaban invited us in Alibago, Enrile to for tracts distribution. We went early so that we can still see people in their houses and on the streets because after 8am, they will already be in their works (offices, schools, rice fields). We also had a bible study at the house of sister Arlene. Brother Dennis Yuson is with us and he shared a good lesson on the first chapter of Jude.

In the evening, we had our midweek service here at Tuguegarao. Brother Rogelio Esperanza was our invited preacher and he preached about "The church with the bad reputation" which is the church in Corinth.

June 8 (Bible Study)

We went to Dagupan, Tuao where I am preaching and we also had tracts distribution. We had visited houses and gave tracts to those who were baptized Christians before. Before I re-established the congregation at Dagupan, there where many who were baptized before. When I say before, it was about 2 decades ago. We tried to convinced them to be with us again. Some already came but there are those who didn't response. There are those whom we are trying to schedule bible studies and we are waiting for their vacant times.

We also had bible study at the house of brother Lynton and sister Rona Simangan. Sister Rona is pregnant right now and her expected month is on October. We had brother Jerry Soliva preach and he shared "Hebrews 3:12-19". Brother Jerome Forelo also shared a lesson on "Remaining steadfast in the Lord." Aside from the couple, some of our brethren at Dagupan also came. There house was full that the other preachers sat outside.

June 9 (Sunday Worship)

For our bible study, brother Flor asked me if I can do it for now because brother Randy is not around. I discussed to them Luke 9:10-17, about the feeding of the 5000. In the sermon, brother Flor preached the lesson "Become spiritually strong".

In the afternoon, we had our young men preach to us. In Palca, it was brother Henry Tabangcura and he preached the lesson "God and man".

While in Dagupan, it was brother Jhian Puselero who preached John 14:1-18.

They both did a very good job. We are doing our best to help them stand in front. There are doing better and better each time they preach. We are praying that they will continue to do it even when they have secular jobs already. They are still in junior high right now.

June 10 (Preacher's Meeting)

Brother Sammy Paet invited us in Remus, Baggao for a Preacher's Meeting. Those who are in attendance are all from the town Baggao. No other preachers from other town came because according to them, they will be having a 5 day preacher's training and we are the once who will be teaching first.

It was me who is the first speaker and I preach a lesson about Pride and Humility. I am sorry we didn't got any picture from this activity. Even brother Jay didn't get one who is the second speaker. I thought he took pictures and he thought I am the one who took pictures. He is the second speaker and he preached about "Spare tire Christians".

June 12 (Midweek Service)

For our bible study, it should be brother Sagrado Addamag but he got sick. We talked to brother Elias Pagulayan and he shared the lesson on Col 1:26. He got a hard time speaking because all his teeth were recently removed. They are making him dentures. We also had hard time understanding every words he is saying but we got the context of the lesson and so we still followed.

June 15 (Bible Study)

We should be going to Minagbag, Quezon for tracts distribution and bible study. I am already prepared to go but all of a sudden, brother Jay called and he told me he is having a high fever. He is the preacher in that area and so we cannot go without him. We just re-scheduled it for next week.

June 16 (Sunday Worships)

For our bible study, we all decided that brother Lance Panopio will teach the remaining verses of Luke 9 because brother Randy cannot do it. He discussed to us Luke 9:18-27.

In the sermon, I made additional noted on my outline regarding pride and humility. I made a two part lesson about it. I gave it a title "Beware of Pride, Be Humble" part 1.

In Palca, it was brother Robert who preached. He shared the lesson about "Things we needed to reach heaven".

In Dagupan, I also preached the lesson on "Beware of Pride, Be Humble part 1".

June 18

Brother Efren Respicio invited us to their house to bond with each other. All of us are preaches and we talked about our future plans on how we can help each other with the works on our congregations. We are doing this with unison and we put God in the middle of all our plans. We are also doing this to strengthen our friendship and brotherhood.

June 19 (Bible study)

We now went to Minagbag that was cancelled the last week. We went to the house of sister Violi. There are neighbors who joined us in the bible study. One of them is a sister who was baptized long time ago but became lukewarm. After the bible study, I do not know from brother Jay if she is already attending their worships. For this activity, brother Efren shared a lesson on "Matthew 11:28-30".

In the evening, our midweek service here at Tuguegarao. It was brother Alex Genilba who taught. I got a call from him the last Sunday telling me that they rush him to the hospital to check his eyes. He suddenly cannot see according to him that's why he didn't preach in their congregation on that Sunday. Thankfully, with God's help he got his eyesight back and he came in our bible study. I do not know what really happened to him or what he is saying but I thank God he is now ok. He shared a lesson on "Psalm 121".

June 21 (Youth lectures)

We had this youth lecture planned for almost two months already and finally with God's help, we did it successfully. There are a lot of congregations who joined starting from where I am preaching at Palca and Dagupan. With them are brethren from Alibago, Minagbag, Aquib, Sampaguita, Villa Salud, Bantay, Maguirig, Lingu, San Luis, San Mateo and Villa Corazon. Our recorded attendance for the youth is 104. If we add the attendance of us preachers, we are about 130. There are many reasons why we planned to do this, one is for them to meet each other, another is for them to be busy with the work of the Lord instead of other activities for this summer. This is not a work of the church that's why all the funds used where from our own pockets (preachers).  There are two speakers for this lecture. They are brother Reymund Welba and brother Jerome Forelo. I took the job on working on the preparations since that start of the planning. The speakers did a very good job that we also had two baptisms during this activity. One is the daughter of brother Macky Miguel and the other is a sister from San Luis. We are planning to have another one like this maybe before the end of the year.

June 23 (Sunday Worships)

In our bible study, we had Lance teach again. He is now on Luke 9:28-36 about the transfiguration of Jesus. In the sermon, I continued with the lesson about "Beware of Pride, be humble, part 2"

In Palca, it was the first part of the lesson I preached about Beware of pride, be humble.

In Dagupan, brother Robert preached the lesson "Things we know and don’t". When we are already near the end of the worship, the rain pours heavily that we cannot here each other again. In the announcement, I am already shouting just for them to hear me.

June 25 (Tracts distribution)

We had bible tracts distribution at Lingu, Solana where brother Robert Rances is preaching. We went until the end of the village just to give those we see bible tracts. It is challenging because there are a lot of dogs outside. Thankfully, not one of us were bitten.

June 26 (Bible Study)

We went to Minagbag again because there was an invitation for bible study at the house of sister Marife Rivera. Brother Jay asked me if I could preach and that was when we already arrived in their house. I thought of teaching about "Rich Man and Lazarus" focusing on what the rich man learned when he is already in torment. But, when I am in the first part of the lesson, there was a knock on the door. The house is part of a small store that's why there are those who are coming to buy. When there was no answer in the store, a woman (Pacing Layus) came to where we are having a bible study. Sister Marife literally pulls her inside and she joined us. While I am teaching, she is reacting to what I am saying. What I mean of reacting is that, she is agreeing or asking question. Instead of focusing on what I want to preach, I just answered all her questions. In short, I didn't preach my lesson. It's ok because we learned that she is also searching for the truth and all of us who where there wanted her to learn. We invited her to attend the worship in the church on Sunday.

In the evening for our midweek service here at Tuguegarao, we had brother Jetmark Ramirez. He preached a good lesson about "Let God be magnified".

June 28 (Bible study)

We had an invitation for bible study at Romualdez, Quezon. It was the next town from Minagbag. There was a contact of sister Rosa Apalia and she wanted us to have a bible study in that house. It was the house of Mrs. Monica Bautista. She is a Catholic and willing to learn the truth. Aside from her, an 89 year old woman also came by the name of Mrs. Marcela Bagitan who is a member of the Assemblies of God. She knows a lot from the bible that's why she asked questions about the true church. We let brother Reymund preach first and he shared about "The gospel of Christ". After that we continued to have the question and answer. They are willing to have another bible study. We are just waiting for their next invitation.

June 30 (Sunday Worships)

We had brother Flor for our bible study here in Tuguegarao. He shared to us Luke 9:37-56. In the sermon, I was able to preach about things we can learn from the Zacchaeus. When the invitation was sung, one young lady came and confess her faith. She is sister Sophia and she is just 15 years old but very tall. We are joking that, we studied the smallest men in the bible but a goliath came in front to be baptized. I immersed her in water for baptism. She is from Alibago where brother James Attaban is preaching. Next Sunday, she might be joining in there congregation already.

In Palca, I should also be preaching the part 2 of my lesson but sister Fermina called me saying that her grand daughter wanted to be baptized already. He is 15 years old but deaf. The only way we can communicate with her is through sign language. The problem is, I do not know how to do it.  Sister Fermina talks to her through writing in paper. She is the one who taught her about the need for baptism. She is always sharing to her grand daughter and that made her decide to obey the gospel also. I preached about Zacchaeus but added points about baptism. It was on my powerpoint that's why Sam just read it. She came in front to confess her faith, but because I do not know sign language, I had prepared a paper that I wrote my questions to her. Unfortunately, not one from the audience took a picture because they are very focus on looking at her. She is doing the sign language while reading the paper. When she is finish, I ask her if she agrees by doing a thumbs up, and she response by doing the same, that means, she agrees. I baptized her in our baptistery and we have pictures of it.

In Dagupan, I pushed through with my lesson on "Beware of Pride, be humble part 2". I do not know if we can say that they are guest because they are the daughter and grandson of brother Enzo who are now residing in Buguey. They are from Dagupan before and were also baptized. It was my first time meeting them. I do not know if they will still be there next week because they just came for a short vacation.
