Preaching activities for the month of February 2026

 February 1 (Sunday Worships)

For our Bible study in Tuguegarao City, brother Lance continued the discussion on John 11:28–44. It was an encouraging study that reminded us of the Lord’s power, compassion, and faithfulness, even in times of sorrow. During the sermon, brother Rody preached about “One Baptism,” emphasizing unity in Christ and the importance of faithfully obeying the gospel.

In the afternoon at Palca, brother Robert delivered the lesson “Hindrances to Salvation,” helping us reflect on the things that can prevent people from responding to God’s call. Later in Dagupan City, I shared the lesson “Anytime,” reminding everyone that God is always present and ready to hear us whenever we call on Him.

February 4

During our midweek service, brother Rody shared a heartfelt lesson entitled “Tears of Our Lord.” It was a moving reminder of the deep compassion, love, and sorrow our Lord felt for humanity, and it encouraged us to reflect on His mercy and care for every soul.

February 5

We began our two-day preaching work in the northern part of our region, hosted by brothers Sherwin and Fidelfin Miranda. We left very early, around 4:00 in the morning. Instead of going first to Ballesteros, we traveled directly to Culao in Claveria, which added about an hour and a half more to our journey. We arrived around 9:30 a.m. and immediately began the Bible study.

The brethren there do not yet have a chapel and gather for worship in a small hut that the local government provides for community schooling. Many of the people in the area are from indigenous groups, and some are still learning to read and write through government assistance. We are thankful that several brethren have already learned to read, and Bibles have been provided to help them grow in their faith.

We began the activity with spiritual songs. Dennis spoke first, sharing a lesson from Hosea 1, followed by Gerald Ganela, who preached about “The Fig Tree.” Although no one responded during the invitation song, we continued spending time talking and studying with them afterward. By God’s grace, three young men decided to obey the gospel. We then brought them to the sea, where they were baptized.

We are deeply thankful for this opportunity to share God’s Word and witness these precious souls begin their new life in Christ.

We traveled back to Ballesteros in the afternoon and spent the night there.

February 6

For the second day of our preaching work, we went to Palloc in Ballesteros. This congregation is only about a year old, and we were truly encouraged to see how much the church has grown since my last visit. We were especially glad to see that they now have their own chapel, a clear sign of God’s continued blessings upon the work in that place.

We began the day once again with spiritual songs. Jimmy Duque was the first speaker and shared a lesson from Romans 12:1–2, reminding us to offer our lives fully to God and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This was followed by Jay Gumpad, who preached the lesson “What Is Your Response After You Hear the Gospel?” His message encouraged everyone to reflect seriously on how we respond to God’s Word in our daily lives.

After the Bible study, we had meaningful and encouraging conversations with the brethren. It is our sincere hope and prayer that our visit, the lessons shared, and the fellowship we enjoyed together helped strengthen their faith and deepen their commitment to the Lord.

Later in the afternoon, we traveled back home, and by God’s grace, we arrived safely at around 6:00 in the evening. We are truly thankful for His protection throughout the journey and for the opportunity to serve Him together.

February 8 (Sunday Worships)

For our Bible study in Tuguegarao City, brother Lance concluded his series in the book of John, discussing John 11:45–57. It was a meaningful conclusion that helped us reflect on the growing opposition to the Lord and the unfolding of God’s greater purpose.

During the sermon, we were blessed to have brother Ron Halbrook with us. He arrived on Saturday here in Tuguegarao and shared the lesson “Modest Dress Through the Ages.” His message reminded us of the timeless principle of modesty and the importance of honoring God in the way we present ourselves.

In the afternoon at Palca, we invited brother Jay Gumpad once again, and he preached the lesson “8 Reasons Why a Christian Stops Growing.” It was a challenging and encouraging message that helped us examine our spiritual lives more carefully.

Later in Dagupan City, brother Robert also preached the lesson “Hindrances to Salvation.” His message reminded us to remove anything that may keep us or others from fully responding to God’s call.

February 9-12

We held our four-day Bible Lectureship in Tuguegarao City with brother Ron Halbrook, centered on the theme “Home and Family Life.”

On the first day, brother Ron was unable to join us because of stomach issues that caused weakness. He was taken to the hospital and needed to rest for the day, so brother Rody faithfully took over and handled the lessons for the entire day. We are very thankful for his willingness to step in and serve when the need arose.

By God’s grace, brother Ron felt much better on the second day and was able to begin presenting the lessons he had prepared. We were all grateful to see his strength returning and to benefit from the teachings he had worked so hard to share with us.

Although I was not one of the speakers during the lectureship, I was given many opportunities to help and assist the brethren in different ways. I am truly thankful for the privilege to serve and support the work, and it was a joy to be involved in caring for the needs of everyone during the event.

Throughout the four days of lectures, we were blessed with an average attendance of about 130 each day. We thank God for the strong interest, the encouraging fellowship, and the opportunity to learn more about strengthening our homes and families according to His will.

February 13

We were again invited by brother Jay Gumpad to conduct a Bible study at Minagbag Church. This study is now scheduled regularly each week, usually on Thursdays, but this time it was held on Friday because of the lectureship in Tuguegarao City.

Brother Alex shared the lesson “How to Worship God?” It was a timely and meaningful study that helped remind everyone of the importance of worshiping God in the way that pleases Him.

We are thankful for this continued opportunity to gather, study His Word, and grow together in faith each week.

February 14

We traveled to Bagunot in Baggao upon the invitation of brother Manny Pader. We held the Bible study in the home of one of the brethren, which gave us a warm and personal time of fellowship and learning together.

Brother James shared the lesson “First Things First,” reminding us to keep God as our highest priority in all areas of life. We are thankful for the opportunity to gather, study His Word, and encourage one another in faith.

February 15 (Sunday Worships)

In our Bible study here in Tuguegarao City, brother Jun Bassig led the discussion on John 12:1–3. Although he was baptized only last November 2025, his background as a pastor in a Pentecostal church has given him a deep knowledge of the Scriptures. Having also participated in many preaching activities, he is already able to assist in many ways to help the church grow and strengthen the faith of its members.

During the sermon, the elders asked me to preach, and I shared the lesson “Anytime.” It was a blessing to remind everyone that God is always present, ready to hear us, and faithful to guide us whenever we turn to Him.

In the afternoon, at Palca, I again shared the lesson “Anytime,” emphasizing God’s constant presence and faithfulness in our lives.

Later in Dagupan City, we invited brother James, and he preached the lesson “First Things First,” reminding everyone to put God as the highest priority in all aspects of life.

February 17

We were invited by Ronald Valdez to conduct a home Bible study in Babayuan, Amulung. The gathering was held at the home of the Suton family, who also invited their neighbors to join us, including several who are not yet Christians.

During the study, Gerald shared a lesson from 2 Kings 20:1–3, focusing on the life and prayer of Hezekiah. After the lesson, we distributed gospel tracts in the surrounding area.

We then proceeded to brother Ronald’s home to join their family in celebrating his son’s birthday, which was a joyful time of fellowship together.

February 18

We went to Baculud, Amulung, where Jimmy Duque is preaching. Our Bible study was held at the home of the Balanay family.

During the gathering, Rogelio shared a lesson about the “Jealous God,” followed by Joeben, who spoke about “True Worship.”

We extended the invitation, and we are very happy to share that Alwina Balanay obeyed the gospel. She has been faithfully attending our Bible studies in their village for many months. We then brought her to the baptistery in Calamagui, where she will also be added to the church there.

In the evening, we held our midweek Bible study in Tuguegarao. For this week, Jun Bassig shared the lessons in all our gatherings. During the midweek study, he delivered an edifying lesson on the Parable of the Lost Son from the book of Gospel of Luke, highlighting themes of God’s timing, stewardship, and losing one’s identity.

It was my first time hearing this parable explained from that perspective, and it gave a fresh and meaningful understanding of the message.

February 19

We went to Minagbag Church for their midweek service. It was a blessing to meet again with the brethren there, though most in attendance were elderly, as many of the students were in school and others were working in the fields.

During the gathering, Rogelio shared the lesson “Jealous God.” After the study, we spent time answering many of their questions. The open forum actually lasted longer than the lesson itself, but it was very fruitful and encouraging for everyone present.

February 22 (Sunday Worships)

For our Bible study here in Tuguegarao, Flor led the discussion on Gospel of John 12:4–8. In the sermon, Jun Bassig preached on “The Nature of Christ’s Kingdom Worship.”

In the afternoon, since it was the last Sunday of the month, we held worship gatherings in Palca and Dagupan at the same time. Robert went to preach in Palca, while I went to Dagupan. I invited Lance Panopio to come with me. We have been training him here in Tuguegarao to stand and preach, and we are thankful to see his growth and willingness to help in many works of the church.

He shared a wonderful lesson entitled, “Am I Hearing the Voice of God or My Own Voice?”

February 25

We went to Nabbialan, Amulung, where Brother Jun Antonio invited us to work with them. Upon arriving, we first distributed Bible tracts in the surrounding areas of the village. We divided ourselves into three groups so we could accomplish more in a short period of time.

After the tract distribution, we gathered at the house of the Gosi Family for a Bible study. Although we only had one songbook, we were still able to sing spiritual songs together joyfully.

Brother Jerome then shared an inspiring lesson entitled “Identity Crisis.” It was a meaningful message that encouraged everyone to examine who we are in Christ and to stand firm in our true identity as God’s people.

In the evening, we had our midweek service here in Tuguegarao. Brother Willie Pastor was invited to preach. He traveled all the way from the province of Quirino, which is about three hours from here.

He delivered a powerful lesson entitled “Sink or Walk,” based on the story of Peter walking on the water in Matthew 14:22–33. The lesson reminded us that as long as we keep our eyes on the Lord, we can walk by faith above life’s storms—but when we focus on the winds and waves around us, we begin to sink. It was a very encouraging and faith-strengthening message for the brethren.

February 26

We held our midweek Bible study again at Minagbag Church. This time, Brother Manny Pader shared a wonderful lesson from Romans 12:9–21.

He emphasized the importance of genuine love among Christians—loving without hypocrisy, being patient in tribulation, blessing those who persecute us, and overcoming evil with good. The lesson reminded us that true Christianity is not only about belief, but about living out our faith in our daily relationships with others. With this study, I am thinking of making my own outline about it.
